I was talking with my SIL who is active on a 2014 board.... Which has a loooooot more active posters and probably lurkers. She was asking if I would ever consider getting together with anyone on the board. I guess in her board there are several people within our area who are interested I'm getting together. I said that I would love a Aug 11 real life GTG, but explained that we are all so spread out it is highly unlikely to ever happen. I also think the dynamic of this board is slightly different, as there are so few people who actually post that I "feel closer" to you guys than my other more active BMB, I totally realize this could be a false sense of security though.

What are your thoughts? If we lived in close proximity would you all consider coming to an Aug 11 GTG?

Would SO love to meet everyone

I think cups and someone else who doesn't post anymore was the closest to me in California. Although if we ever all decided to meet. I would for sure try

My current bmb is huge-ish. I met a friend IRL off this board when I first joined. I would definitely go to a meetup. Maybe living far apart is actually more of a blessing because it would be an excuse for a trip and it would be unique rather than just a coffee type thing. I did go to one Dallas meetup and everyone was nice but nothing ever came of it, friendship-wise.

I'll be doing meet ups with ladies from Aug'13 this summer. I actually have a meet up this week with a reg around various boards I just found out lives in the same city. All of you are far way from me.

@duffgirl - I live in San Diego, but I don't think I've ever actually said that on here. I met up with @eatmorecupcakes right after I moved here. She saved me from wallowing in misery because I didn't know anyone

I'm in a FB group for DD's birth month, and a lot of the ladies who live near each other have gotten together. I'd get together with the other Cali moms in that group, but they both live in the SF area.

I would love a gtg with the regulars on this board and absolutely be on board to meet up, but I'm also really far from everyone else. Philadelphia area, about 20 mins south of center city.

There are some people local to me on DD2's bmb, but I am not really active with their group, so I don't feel like I "know" them. I'd feel like I was the weird creepy outsider if I tried to join in on one of their gtgs.

I've met more ladies from our group than I can count on two hands! From all over the place. AZ, NY, FL, IN, OH. Anytime I travel to a new place where I know a bumpie friend is I try and coordinate a meet up. I have gotten to know a lot of them personally through the FB group.

Oh hey....yeah....I was going to come on here more often again...

I met up with @eatmorecupcakes last January when I moved here, but I was overly paranoid at that point about people finding out where I lived for some reason, so I asked her not to say anything. But she was nice enough to respond to my PM and rescue me from my misery when I was living in the hotel with DS.
