Came across this article this morning:
Popular Infant Sound Machines May Be Hazardous To Babies' Hearing, Study SaysI have to say, my first thought when skimming this article on my phone was, who is putting the sound machine volume all the way up? Mine seems pretty loud at at about half way. Though it does make you wonder why it would even be a possibility to get it super loud. I remember when I was looking for one on Amazon, a bunch of reviewers were complaining that theirs didn't get loud enough.
Re: Sound Machines article
May Siggy: Baby in disguise
Seems weird that anyone would suggest to have it loud
This is why DS is in his own room now.
1. Bc our son also stirs when we fart...sigh...
2. I just scored this sound machine at Goodwill for $6!!! Which I'll clearly turn to low

DD1 has decided the best spot to sleep in her room is in the floor next to it. Lol. We have a small fan next to DD2's bassinet but will use a box fan in her room when we transition her.
I love using a box fan because they are not only soothing but block out household noise. They are especially nice during naps in case someone rings the doorbell.
Idk if they are affect hearing, but I don't foresee us ever not using them. I would need a pretty strong case against them to convince me.
