Worried

I can't stop thinking about all the things that could go wrong. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a couple of years now. We finally found out we were pregnant a couple of weeks ago. I went for my first appointment on Wednesday and found out that I must have ovulated late because the gestational sac was only 13mm. The doctor said that I'm about five weeks. So on Sunday, I woke up from a nap used the restroom to find brown discharge when I wiped. I immediately went to the ER. While at the ER, I was extremely upset which made my blood pressure sky rocket. They did a vaginal ultrasound and they said I was 6 weeks four days along in my pregnancy. They also did blood work and I had a cervix exam done. The doctor wanted to see if my cervix was open which would mean that I would more than likely have a miscarriage. After checking he found out tat everything looked fine my cervix was closed. I may still be at risk for a miscarriage so he put me on light duty at work. I am going for a follow up appointment tomorrow.. I am praying that every thing will be okay..I find myself randomly crying because I'm so worried.

I hope your appointment eases your mind. Pregnancy is really stressful- I am a natural born worrier and there is a lot to stress about now ....but not much we can really control. Hang in there!

The discharge could be from your first US if it was vaginal. I had brown spotting with my first and dr said that was perfectly normal. Have they checked your progesterone levels? Hugs, and thoughts to you!

Pregnancy can be very stressful. Especially this beginning part. It gets easier when you can see your belly grow and feel baby move. Just take this part one day at a time. ((Hugs))

Good luck w your appointment. I am 6w4d and have been a nervous wreck. I also TTC for a long time and now pregnant. I'm starting to realize that my baby's life is not in my hands right now, but in God's. Praying, singing and journaling (I have found) help a lot
