I can feel a cold coming on and I'd love to know what are good remedies for nursing mamas.

I have looked at the kellymom website, but I'd also love to hear what other moms do.

A tea spoon of honey mixed with 1/4 tea spoon of cinnamon twice a day for 3 daysn I heard it is miraculous but honestly ive neverttried it. Please let me know how it works. And raw honey is said to be the best

In terms of homeopathy: allium cepa is great for head colds. In terms of herbal medicine: elderberry syrup (can buy, unless you happen to have the elderberries on hand to make it) or garlic lemonade (can make with everyday ingredients) are my favorites. All of those are safe for nursing.

I always double up on my probiotics when I feel something coming on. It really seems to help.

I take a daily garlic supplement, and try to increase it when I feel like I'm getting sick. It helps keep infection at bay.
