What the FUCK, OP! Should have added: warning: baby rape in the post title. No, I don't want to click on the link-- I'm already crying my eyes out and disgusted and feel sick imagining that this is even possible and the pain this baby went through.

Oh I saw that story circulating on Facebook. I read the article. It was the saddest, most disturbing thing I've ever read. Regretting reading it. I didn't know it would go into so much detail about the state that the little ones body was found in. Breaks my heart what that sweet baby went through. I want to lay that guys dick on my cutting board and slowly and neatly treat him as I would my cucumbers.

I think this is out of line. The same can and does happen to boys as well. We're all mothers to young children and all equally repulsed by this.

I agree a stronger warning is all that was necessary. I don't appreciate the statement that as the mother of a male she can't possibly have the same reaction.

One of our judges just called last week to ask me if I would agree to accept a court-appointment to defend a man accused of raping and beating his gf's 4 yo daughter so bad she died a few days later. I told the judge I might kill him myself, so I couldn't take it. I've defended some sketchy people in my day-- but I can't handle crimes against children.

I won't go into detail, but the mother knew her boyfriend was a pedifile and actually invited him to do this to her daughter. She deserves the same punishment as the man if not worse!

So disgusting, but unfortunately it happens a lot. I have seen tons of women that have such poor self-esteem and mental issues that allow their children to be treated like this, or other terrible situations. I could write a really disgusting blog about all the things I have seen.

Makes me want to get a new job.

I agree with @cagoldi it is unfair to suggest that mothers with sons are devoid of empathy. I found that offensive. Just because half of us have sons doesn't make us any less outraged by this news story.

I also agree with this. Had it been a baby boy, it would have been just as disgusting. A baby is a baby. They cannot defend themselves. Boy or girl it is just as equally disgusting.

No one is asking you to apologize, just recognize how absurd it is to assume that because your baby is the same sex as the baby in the article that you have a stronger reaction to it than the mothers of sons. That's ridiculous.

@CFox815 is not cavalier about it. She just felt a warning was appropriate rather than deleting the story. I'm certain she is just as nauseated by this as you.

I am being combative. I get in the mood to lash out at anyone when I feel too many emotions. Yes I'm a mama of two baby girls but also have been personally affected by this subject matter. I can put on armor and say "flame me, say horrible things about me, I don't care" but what I really need is someone to tell me it's okay to have a strong reaction and that it's going to be okay. I will go, I don't pretend to be worthy of any support though.

I would never imply that mothers of sons are devoid of emotion. That's the only thing that every one of us has in common is how much we love our LOs. I get so anxious thinking of all the evil in this world, and I hate that I can't always protect my babies from that evil.

I don't know what to say.

You SHOULD have a strong reaction to things like this happening because it is truly sickening,however, it is not okay to have strong emotions to the point to where you tell somebody they cannot empathize just because they have a son. Her son is still a baby just like your daughter is a baby. The BABY was affected in this story, hence it does not matter if it was male or female. It is horrible either way that it happened. We ALL have LO's so to say your emotions are strong does not justify saying such a statement.

I'm truly sorry to hear that type of subject matter affected you personally. CFox, you are very strong to work in your field hearing all these graphic events. I can't imagine. Your response wasn't cavalier at all. It just wasn't pure outrage and disgust and anxiety attack like I had, which I falsely attributed to you not having a daughter. I see now my over reaction to this article is more about my personal experience. I lashed out at you, plain and simple. Said I wouldn't apologize, but yes you deserve it. I apologize for trivializing your comment.

To other mamas of sons and mamas of daughters offended I spoke for them, I'm sorry I have rattled you. I know boys and men can be raped just like girls and women. Baby girls just get raped more often, which is where I was coming from. All of us are disgusted by this subject matter (I guess i am making a broad statement again but surely this is true) and we all fiercely love our babies and hope nothing bad happens to them.

You are welcome to keep flaming me for what I've said. I deserve it. I'd rather hear a nice word, but where's the fun drama in that I suppose? Sigh.

I wanted to say thanks, ladies, for not burning me at the stake here. I went too far in my comments and conclusions, and have apologized to those I hurt.

I agree there's no Shame in getting help. I've been in and out of therapy sessions since I was 17 when my sis took her life after her rape. I knew having two girls would drudge up my issues again. I just didn't think it'd come back full force today. Sorry again gals for my craziness. I stopped therapy when DD1 was born to save money. Think I'll do a few sessions now.

Did someone ask who I was??? Um been here since mid pregnancy (I intro'ed!) and have contributed mostly to answering questions and giving support. I try to stay in the background really. I've loved this board for many months and I respect what each mama has to say.

Anyways, sorry again for drama. And thanks for the support when I needed it.

I didn't even click the damn link and this shit ruined my night. Hearing these stories turns me into a man hater. I got into an argument with my DH. He heard me crying in the shower last night and when I got out he asked what was wrong. I confessed to having bad thoughts about men and their sicknesses and he preceded to argue that women do the same crap but we just don't hear about it. He got so defensive. And im sorry but yes their are sick twisted women out there but just not even close to as many men. I'm Going to have to bring it up with my counselor. I can't handle this crap.

Im about to cry just imagining what the original post was about. This is why I really hate people sometimes, and would much rather hang out with my dogs.
