GTG for realz poll

If we really have a nationwide BMB gtg, what location would work BEST? I tried picking realistic (population dense) destinations that are easy to travel to, but feel free to add more, they just won't be clickable!

I would normally have picked Las Vegas, but if we are bringing the babies then Vegas isn't very baby friendly. So I picked Chicago. It's a great central location and there is plenty to do, even outside of the city, some really great zoos.

I picked Chicago because I'm lazy and I'm from there, but then I was thinking more about it and I think it's really centrally located for most people (direct flights and all) and in the summer Chicago is AWESOME. Don't come now though, stay far away.

I love San Fran but I picked Chicago because it's centrally located. Plus lots of good places to eat and drink. But Kansas City is also very central and not super expensive. But the airport is super north of town.

I picked Dallas because it is in Texas and close by. I wouldn't mind Florida because we have friends and family there. San Diego would be great too. If I'm going to Vegas I"m going kids free! LOL

Tomorrow or so, after we get more votes in, I'll do a semi finals and add in Denver, Orlando, Atlanta, St. Louis....anywhere else? Then we can do finals after that, then we can discuss what season is best for that location...and then keep narrowing from there? And I'd like a co planner from the city we pick since Seattle isn't winning (damn).

Realistically, I don't think I'd be able to make it to somewhere that requires flying. NY is close to me and Boston is doable. Anywhere we can drive to in 4 hours or less is doable for me.

Why don't we have more than one? It will make it possible for more bumpies to meet up.

I second the multiple GTG idea. Maybe do regional ones? West Coast, East Coast, Middle of Nowhere, etc.

That's why I threw LA in there!! I think we should shoot for one national one and then also regional ones as necessary.

Dallas would be my first choice. Duh. But since that might be unrealistic, I picked Chicago because there's a good chance I might be there this summer.
