This is a weekly thread for runners who are due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays. All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. This is a place to talk about running while pregnant, training, runs, races, gear, recovery, nutrition, and whatever else we can think of.
Anyone who posts here regularly should feel free to start the thread on Mondays if it seems to be missing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How were your runs this week? Lay it on us...
Re: ~*Born to Run JuneBugs*~
How were your runs this week? Lay it on us... I only got two runs in last week, which was more due to laziness than anything else. I plan to get at least 3 in this week and I start weekly yoga on Wednesday so hopefully that'll be a good addition to my routine.
No running this week for me. Wondering if I'm done here on out or not.

Running is getting increasingly harder. I use to run 5 miles around 45 mins. Now I'm rolling for about 33-35 miles to cover 3 miles (but refer to this as "wogging" (walk/jogging). I find that I do better if I take a day or two between running. On off days, I've been walking 2-3 miles on my lunch break and downloaded an app to count steps. At least this way, when I can't run I'm still aware of my activity level.
Everytime I run I think the end is coming soon. Then I remember how many weeks I have until I can start again, and try to milk it a little longer!
@Kinipela7 how has swimming been for you? i was a swimmer for years and now i am tempted to start up again especially since joints are starting to hurt due to the weight. a friend of mine also said swimming is great because our bellies act as a buoy in the water lol.
Nice runs, ladies! I'm really impressed by how much people are working out! Well done lol!
@Kinepela7 - too bad it's hard to get to the pool because it sounds like swimming would be great, given your hip pain.
Boo! @nicolewhelan- I feel you, my running days are officially over. I have been unable to run and long/hard as I prefer, due to pressure on my bladder as soon as I do more than walk. BUT! I ran a 5K this past Sunday, without stopping, and felt okay afterwards. During... I felt like I would sell my soul to the devil to take a pee break, but I made it! I feel it's time to replace the runs with walks, and keep up yoga and pilates. I'll still linger around this thread, though, in case I get the inkling to try again. Good luck, everyone!
Agreed!!
