Evening primrose, orally.

It was recommended by my OB plus friends to try EPO. They said you can take it vaginally, but I'm seriously too chicken shit for that lol.

I took 1 1,000mg gel tab orally not long ago. I have heard a million different amount suggestions, so I figured I would see what most people say. Has it caused anybody any side effects? Belly ache, diarrhea, headache, etc? I have been drinking the RRL tea for a few weeks, and my stomach has been fine with all of that. Tried a little cumin in my tea last night, and my belly was fine with that too. I have never had EPO, however, so I'm curious as to how it could make me feel, if anything. I have had belly issues for a few days now, heartburn plus some bubble guts. (no vomiting or diarrhea though) Just all around feel icky. Soooo hopefully this doesn't add to it lol

    What are you taking this for?
    I took it when i was 40 weeks with my son to try to bring on labor, did not work... If thats your plan, i say just walk and have some sex! Lots of sex, its going to be a while, and baby will come when ready, you cant rush the process... Sorry! :)

    Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
    All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!

    It's a combination. A few people swore that it gave them the extra nudge they needed to efface a little faster, which of course helps. Also women swear that it can make labor quicker, which is also what it said about RRL tea. Not sure if it's true since I'm still pregnant, but it can't hurt lol

    Hey with my first i did it all!!! Eggplant, pineapple, jumping jacks, ball, sex, walking, hot food, EPRO, RRL tea, membrane stripping, i did every OWT i could find, and nothing did any help! So my advice, do what makes you feel good or makes you feel like your "helping" but in the end, it will happen when it happens, and you cant rush a baby!!! Just a precursor to life with baby!
    It never fails if your in a rush baby is not!!!! :)

    Taking EPO orally can cause stomach upset. Partly because of the hormonal effect and partly because you're ingesting a small spoonful of straight-up oil every time you take one of those capsules. It can cause the same issues as greasy food, especially if you're already prone to heartburn or reflux.

    I took bucketloads of the stuff at the end of my pregnancy with DS, both orally and vaginally. Took tons of RRL supplements too, starting super early and increasing my dose until I was taking thousands of milligrams a day. Did absolutely nothing. I still failed to progress.

    I didn't take EPO with DS, but I did with DD to avoid being induced. My water broke on its own with DS at 40 weeks 1 day.

    I took 2000 mg a day of EPO from 40 weeks 4 days until 41 weeks. My water broke in the middle of the night (2:45 AM) and I was already at 4 cm by 8 AM. At 1 PM I pushed three pushes and DD was born at 1:03 PM.

    I don't know if labor was faster because this was my second baby or of it was the EPO or something else all together. Either way I am glad I took EPO and plan to do it again if I go past 40 weeks.

    I took Epo orally for a couple weeks and I had a quick delivery under 4 hours.
