Nose Bleeds

Anyone had experience with thier LO having a bloody nose? DH called me at work yesterday to tell me that DD had a bloody nose. It wasn't gushing out and stopped fairly quickly but he was still very concerned. I reassured him that she was fine but he was still worried. According to him she wasn't picking her nose or hadn't hit her nose/face with anything. Although, the night before she did fall on her face while she was crawling around the living room pretending to be a cat. It was on carpet and there was no blood at the time but she did cry.

Are nose bleeds pretty typical at this age? Do you think it could have been irritated from her fall the night before? I'm not too concerned just wondering what your thoughts/experiences are. TIA.

Re: Nose Bleeds

  • My first thought would be that it could be from dry winter air. MH always gets bloody noses in winter from dry air. We keep a cool mist humidifier going in DDs room on low and in our room also pretty much all winter.

  • I agree the dry air can cause it. If it becomes a problem there's a saline spray that helps
