And I just want to add that is perfectly ok to go through a wide range of emotions. It's a pretty unique situation to feel happy and grateful to have a healthy baby while mourning the loss of another. After almost 2 1/2 years I still feel grief for the baby I lost and sad that my daughter lost her twin too.
  • Very sad, but happy for your one healthy heartbeat, I agree with PP that it must be a very strange combination of feelings.  Don't let anyone tell you how you should feel, or make you feel bad/guilty for the feelings you are having.  Everyone grieves differently.  My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum and I got SO sick of people saying, "Well at least it wasn't an actual baby..."  It was a real baby to me for almost 10 weeks, and I grieved the loss as much as I would had it been a "real" baby.  You're always welcome back here with questions/comments.  Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
