Hey! Where's my glow?

I'm not sure when my beautiful pregnancy glow is going to kick in, but it would be great if it would hurry up! My skin is dry & full of pimples, not to mention the lovely back acne I've recently developed. Boo. What gives?! How are you ladies doing in the "glow" dept?

My face is finally starting to clear up, it was worse than puberty for a while there, but I would say still no glow....

I found this online: "Legends say that if you are having a little girl, she'll steal your beauty. So, if you've got acne and other not-so-pretty skin blemishes, you've got a little princess coming your way."

I'll be curious to see if its true!

I'm a super ginger (and paper pale), and if what's been happening is going to be the pregnancy trend, I am just going to look like I'm blushing/overheated in the face all the time. My skin is clearing, it's finally hydrating, and it's always bright pink and warm. It looks like I have a light sunburn all the time.

I was accused of having the glow once, but I had just had a pre-work quickie with DH 30 minutes prior....

Still waiting for my real glow. Hating this dry skin.

I had perfect skin until this pregnancy. My skin hasn't been this dull and crappy looking since I was 16. And to make it even more fun, today I have hives on my face. Perhaps the glow is right around the corner.

This was not true for me!! I had terrible acne and backne with my 1st! Literally, my whole back was covered!! Gross! And, he's alllllll boy

My second I had none.. and this time I have been lucky so far and haven't had acne issues..

I read somewhere before that the "glow" is actually referring to the extra oils in your skin, which are also responsible for causing the acne.. so, fear not.. even if you're full of pimples you may still be "glowing"!!

One person at works swears I have the glow, but I think she's imagining because she's excited for me. I have acne on my face, back, and chest, as well as dry, peeling skin at the same time.

Glow?! Yeah right! Break outs, with flaky dry skin on my face. I don't even know how that is possible. Also I seem to have permanent hot flashes and rather than having lustrous have it has decided to fall out. Hmmm...totally different than the first go around and I only 3 months!

Hey ladies! My face looked like a 13 year olds and I just couldn't take it... I did a ton of research on what natural remedies were safe for pregnancy and found lavender oil. There are some things on the internet that say it's bad for pregnancy but my doctor and herbalist assured me that wasn't true !! I have switched to a natural cleanser, followed by about 7 drops of pure lavender oil with about a cup or so of water (I put it in a spray bottle I had on hand). You just spray the mixture on a Cotten ball and wipe like a toner. I then use almond oil as a moisturizer... Let me tell y'all results in less than a week!!! Plus the lavender smells Amazzzing!!! Just throwing it out there for y'all, I totally understand the frustration : ))

I am so beyond fed up with this acne!! I used to think a couple of painful pimples around my period was annoying enough. With pregnancy, I started out with a couple, had a nice lull of clearing around 10 wks, and now I can't keep control over the acne! I haaaaate it, and it's all visible smack on my face. It really makes me feel so unattractive, not to mention they hurt and that makes me cranky. Sigh.

Yeah, that glow can set in any time now...

Preach. My friend said I had a glow, but I think she's just excited to have a mommy friend, lol. I can't see any glow under my beard or my multicolored mustache.

Whiteheads are ridiculous.. and these bumps on my arms?! WTF?

My hair is doing the same thing! I mean major shedding!

I use éminence products and had to switch to a couple things that are more moisturizing. I also cut my exfoliating on my super dry face to once a week from three. I got the arm bumps too, and on those I use a glycerin soap that has natural sponge inside from sabon.

I get the glow when I'm happy. It's the five minutes after I eat, after I poop, and while I'm sleeping. These are my happy places.
