Is my girlfriend about to go into labor.

She is 40 weeks on Friday she has been feeling like she has the flu today. She has been full of energy the past couple of weeks cleaning everything. Restless at night. Says she has loose bowel movements the past 2 days, sharp pains down there. She feels a lot of pressure as well and has been having off and on pains the past two weeks. Do you think she will be having the baby soon?

Either she will or they will induce her. A lot of times they will wait until the 41st week before induction if everything else if normal.

Just have her call the doctor. Hopefully she's not getting sick right before the baby comes. That could be a crummy situation.

If the pains are coming at regular, increasing intervals, I'd say labor is coming. As far as the feeling crummy and everything else... I don't think that is connected.
