Party question

Hi all. I know I've been MIA and I am sorry for that. I have a birthday party question. I am aiming for an airplane themed party and I was planning on hanging some white balloons (clouds) and then colourful paper planes from our kitchen ceiling. But there are no white balloons to be found anywhere and it's too late to order online. So, do you think light blue balloons would work? Or does anyone have other suggestions for creating a cloud like look? That's really my only decorating plan. Otherwise I am just having airplane shaped cookies and a cake with blue icing and cloud meringues. Thanks everyone. ETA: also almost all the people coming are people I have only met once since I am in a new town....it's really my secretary and her friends that are coming.

    Love this stuff!  Light blue balloons would probably be fine or light grey/silver, but if you wanted to do something else...

    How about using bags of the stuff you use to fill pillows, like this...

    Cotton balls glued to cloud shape paper cut outs. That maybe more time than you want to spend on clouds, but it's an idea.

    What if you got small white trash bags and stuffed them with newspaper.

    I second the tissue pom poms. I made over a dozen for the boys' party and I am NOT a crafty person. Just tissue paper, scissors, and wire- very easy. It takes awhile to fold, cut, and fluff. But, we did them while sitting on the couch in the evenings. I think we used Martha Stewart's tutorial.

    What a cute idea! Hope it is so fun!

    Thanks ladies. I went to a different walm.art across town and they had white balloons so crisis averted. Thanks for the suggestions though. And @tj1979 it's on Sat.
