  • Why does pregnancy have to give me the skin of a 6th grader?

Why is it 3 degrees outside?

Why does my child like to suck her hair !
  • LO has been waking up every hour starting around 3/4am for the past week. He just wants to nurse and goes back to sleep. I hope this is just a phase that ends soon. Shoot me in the face!!! We are in the same boat @skidderdoo!

Why am I STILL bleeding 3 weeks after a LEEP procedure? I am SO over it and starting to freak out a little.

Why is it so freaking cold out, still? in March?

and on a positive note - YAY for my last week at my current job :) I won't let the door hit me on the way out.

Um, where are you, period? I'm five days late, and even though H is shooting blanks and I've taken a (negative) pregnancy test, I'm freaking out.

Yikes. I would be freaking out too! I hope you get your period soon, and some peace of mind!

My husband finds out about his job today. I know we'll be ok regardless of what will happen today because my bosses wife has been offering him a job for the past two years and he was opportunities. I just feel so bad for all the other people who don't.

Also why am I still so hairy?

Also why can't I absolutely get rid of this damn pooch? Maybe it's because I exercise but still eat poorly 3 days out of the week

  • Why can't I stick to a diet?

Why is LO still not STTN?!!

I think my skin is going to fall off if it doesn't get warm soon. All the lotion in the world isn't helping anymore.

  • No one sleeps through the night here, either. Sigh. Husband has a gross sounding cough. If LO and I get it, I'll pitch a fit (which will accomplish nothing except maybe produce more coughing....ugh) I have a zit the size of a virtual planetoid on my chin and my hands feel like sand paper. Adding insult to all of that injury, it is snowing again. Or still. I've list track.
  • When DS woke up to nurse at 12:30 this morning, I really thought today was Sunday. It kind of killed me to realize it wasn't! Alas, here I am at work.

  • My husband has been working in the UK for the last two weeks and my mom has been staying here and helping out. She picked something up on the flight over and started coughing the day after she got here. I (miraculously) fought it off until yesterday - and now I'm sick and irrationally mad at her. If you here a loud noise in the distance, that's me knocking on wood that B won't get it as well.  X(

  • @skidderdo I'm sure you've tried and I know every baby is different, but have you tried NOT nursing him at night? R was waking up 1-3 times a night to nurse, and full-fledged nursing on both sides, so I assumed that he NEEDED it. However, my pediatrician recommended that I stop nursing him to sleep and try to have my H comfort him if it's the middle of the night. The first couple of nights were rough (mainly getting him to bed without nursing to sleep), but he pretty much started STTN after that and now he VERY rarely nurses MOTN anymore. I'm sure your situation is different than mine; just sharing our experience!

Why was it 70* and sunny yesterday and now it's rainy and dropping into the 30's?

Why did our washing machine break the DAY AFTER we started cloth diapering. SERIOUSLY?!

  • AF came, uninvited, yesterday.  H and I aren't preventing and have DTD plenty this past month... all signs were pointing to baby #2.  I don't chart or anything - maybe I should start.  It took us about a year to get pregnant with B - I'd like to have #2 before she turns 2.  Uuuhhhggg.

    I guess this isn't a random - just a vent.  Thanks for listening =)

  • I finally got the cold my husband has as of this morning :(  And the girls started on it this weekend, which made for some seriously crabby girls, who just want mama, which makes my son jealous.  So it was a hang all over mommy kind of weekend.

I feel ya. I just tried to insert an e card about working out and all of them pertained to me so I couldn't choose one. FAIL.

My washing machine broke with a load of dirty diapers in it! That was back in October. We bought a new one rather than trying to fix the old one. I like it, but the old one cleaned diapers better, so I kind of regret not trying to get it fixed.

Yeah, he should be fine now, besides the rash. Last few days he wasn't feeling well at all. I am going to try and be more active now though lol. =)

  • Why won't LOs eye stop gooping?

Why is this winter so damn effin long? I'm crabby and depressed and a little sunshine and warm weather could cause a much needed dopamine boost.

Why do socks have to wear down and get holes in them?.... It's just stupid.

Ugh, sounds like he had Roseola.  Glad the fevers are gone now.  High fevers suck!

  • @MKC12/22/2006 We had someone come and repair it today... $190! Looking at the invoice, the part was only $45, and it took him MAYBE 10 minutes. So we totally got ripped off. I love our washer... it's an older top loader, and I do NOT want one of those beautiful-looking, fancy front loading machines. ESPECIALLY with the cloth diapers now.

Glad you got it fixed! The cost of repair is what scared me into getting a new one. Wish I had a handy husband. :)

That is what the doctor said it probably was. It looks worse than it feels I guess.

I just changed DS's diaper and discovered 2 Cheerios had snuck their way past his pj's and into the front of his diaper. One was underneath his pee pee...my first thought: was he trying to play ring toss???

I was changing Gs diaper last week and momentarily freaked the F out when I saw "maggots" in her diaper. I quickly realized it was shredded cheese from lunch...phew!

Oh my god! I know. Why did no one warn me that there would be cheerios everywhere? Several times I have been out somewhere and found a cheerio cemented to my clothes.

I have a front loader and it does the cloth diapers fine. We used to do an extra rinse first but stopped when the poop started being solid.

  • Ugh, fevers, pneumonia, coughs, dehydration, illness, GO AWAY! I'm up to my eyeballs in snot dealing with two sick babies and the dreaded man cold. I just want to run away to a hotel and curl up and sleep for days.

Winter, you can go away too. We're traveling to Texas in two weeks and I can almost feel the sunshine already. I can't wait!

We're going to start cloth diapering after we get back from vacation. I've admittedly been intimidated by CDing despite wanting to start when DD1 was born. I'm giddy about *finally* doing it!

Do you guys have gas dryers? Can you add a home warranty for gas appliances?  That has saved our butts a few times!

Hmm- no idea! We have dual fuel is all I know- electric and gas at our house.

PP my front loader does fine with Tide, but the top loader did great with any soap. We also have well water so that is part of the equation.
