How'd it go last week ladies?
What's the goal this week?
With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of?
What workout are you doing or excited to start?

I managed to get two runs in. The one on Saturday I almost made a mile straight, which doesn't seem like a lot but with how slow it took me to work up to 6 miles before I was pregnant this really encouraged me.
It's gonna be a struggle to fit in runs this week. DH is going back to work full time this week and dd is going through a phase of as soon as I hand her to DH she screams her head off. Gonna try and time her long nap and just put her in her swing and bring down the video monitor. Also going to officially sign up for my first (since September 2012) 5 k this week. It takes place end of April so it will keep my butt in line.
I love Jennifer Lawrence because she just looks real!

  • @slmille4 -- is there any way that we can make this more formal, with specific questions each week. Something like:

    Are you doing a specific workout and/or diet plan?

    Did you accomplish last week's goals?

    What are this week's goals?

    And then maybe a question of the week -- for example, if your body could look like any celebrity's or athlete's body, who would it be? (Bonus for PIPs)

  • @peanutmuse definitely! I'll add one to the top. I think I did questions the first two weeks and only half answered but maybe I'll do more fun ones. Creativity is not my strong suit at 7 am

    @slmille4 -- that's pretty normal for a check in. People answer the questions that interest them or that they have something to say about.

    Also, I think that you will find as more time goes on that people will start to participate more. Schedules are easing up and spring/summer are coming soon!

    ETA: Also -- the question of the week is often the one that draws people in because it's fun. If you need help coming up with creative ones, I can help. We can chat on Sundays. :)

    How'd it go last week ladies? I didn't start yet. Starting this week!

    What's the goal this week? I am starting the Tupler program to close my diastasis recti. It's an 18 week plan. I am really, really bad at sticking with these kinds of things, so I'm hoping that I can do better this time.

    I also start back up at the studio this week. I am still not cleared for my normal exercise, so I will mostly be directing from my chair. But since I haven't been in the studio in 4 months, it will be the most activity I've had in quite a while. Bed rest made me soft. I'm looking forward to getting back in shape!

    With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of?
    I didn't watch the Oscars last night and don't watch TV or movies, so I'm not really knowledgeable about current actresses. But this is the actress whose body shape is similar to mine (Elisha Cuthbert). This is my goal -- plus c-section scar, lol:

    How'd it go last week: I'm a c-section mama coming up on 5weeks post op this Friday, so no major exercise started for me yet. Last week I started purposefully walking around the house more, dancing around the living room with DD, and doing squats while holding her. I've also been wearing her when I go run errands and walking around the stores browsing longer than I needed to. I'd walk outside but it's freaking cold here (-30*C yesterday) Goal this week: I'm going to join a baby wearing walking group that meets weekly at the indoor track. Good way to meet other moms too, I thought. Actress's body: I didn't watch the Oscars but have always thought Jennifer Anniston has a beautiful body eTA sorry about lack of spacing. I'm on my ipad
  • I've been doing pretty well at the gym. PP is definitely easier than being pregnant and working out. Abs in barre class are the biggest challenge. I am going to attempt running on the treadmill this week. I'd like to do a race with my husband this summer.

  • How'd it go last week ladies? Got in two workouts last week! A coworker and I are doing 30 day shred during our lunch break. We did it Thursday and Friday. Thursday was tough; I had to sit down in the middle of it and take a breather. But Friday, I did the whole workout and felt great!
    What's the goal this week? Do the 30 day shred at least 3 times this week. We're set for today and tomorrow. Then CW will be travelling the rest of the week. So if I can fit in one more day, that'd be great.
    With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of? I didn't watch the Oscars. And I can't really think of one off the top of my head. Oooh, maybe Scarlett Johanson (or however you spell her last name)
    What workout are you doing or excited to start? Doing the 30 day shred. After I finish that up and feel like I'm in a good physical place, I'm going to start Jillian Michaels Body Revolution again.

    How'd it go last week ladies? Just started exercising this past week! Ran 1 mile Saturday and Sunday. I know, I know, doesn't sound like much. BUT I ran the entire mile without walking. Also did some Blogilates, abs and buns mostly and boy is my body sore.


    What's the goal this week? To increase my run to 1.5 miles and do that 3 times this week. And also get in two 30 minute walks.


    With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of? I didn't watch the Oscars, but I'm jealous of anyone who is in shape. I'm gunna say Charlize Theron bc she has some nice muscle tone.


    What workout are you doing or excited to start? Running! I am doing another half marathon February of next year. This will allow me to hold off on high mileage until later in the year so I can also meet my EBF one year goal.
  • Going back to work ruined my mojo. Having a hard time finding time between husband's work schedule, DS1., and nursing.

  • @chuggingwater, that was me as well. That's why I've started doing my workouts during lunch. We're a small office, so I don't really care that I go back to my desk sweaty, lol. That, and the other two ladies in my immediate area go to the gym during lunch usually. Have to find the time somewhere and I know for me, there's no way it would work while at home until it's nice enough to get moving outside.

    I started this 30 day challenge on the first of March to start easing back into working out. I didn't think the first few days would be enough for me to actually get sore, but I was!

    I just got a bonus from work, so we are going to buy a treadmill this week! Our previous one has completely taken a shit at the end of my pregnancy. So I'm excited to get back to running, hopefully by the end of this week!

    I didn't watch the award show, but I second Jennifer Aniston's body... And Jessica Biel's.

    We don't have a formal lunch break, and I never take one so I can be home earlier.  I sound like a bucket of excuses.  Damn, I miss working out.

    Yay ! I am back at the gym ! Can't face sticking to a diet yet .... But at least some sort of work out I do. It feels good.

    Good! We had wonderful weather so I was able to walk with DD and made it to two yoga classes. Wooof I am OUT OF SHAPE
    What's the goal this week?
    Keep doing what I'm doing. Walking/yoga 3-5 days/wk

    I didn't watch the Oscars. I finished House of Cards. I've been hating on my body a bit so no need to compare myself to actresses :). Although I did see a pic of Sandra Bullock. Damn girl. GET IT!
    What workout are you doing or excited to start? I'm excited to get back to running but I'm not there yet. I'm more excited about ramping up paleo and breaking my sugar addiction. Sigh. It's hard the first two weeks.

    Any other nursing paleo peeps out there? Would love some advice. @chuggingwater: I know you mentioned paleo in previous posts. Are you doing it this time around?

  • How'd it go last week ladies?  Slight hiccup, was under the weather early in the week, but I got back to it.  Friday I did cardio and weights, Sunday I did Pilates.

    What's the goal this week?  Skiing Saturday!!!  And at least one workout Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

    With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of?  The Oscars were last night?  Really?  Mostly I'm just jealous of women who wear real clothes without baby puke on them.

    What workout are you doing or excited to start?  I said SKIING!!!

    Weight Watchers and lots of walking. My last pp appointment is on the 25th and I'm looking forward to bing cleared for running.

    Yes - and I dropped a couple of pounds too! It was nice to see the reward of my hard work.

    What are this week's goals?

    Walk 4 days and lose my last 2 lbs of pregnancy weight. I head back to work on Thursday though, so I'll have to really push myself to walk.

  • How'd it go last week ladies? I started couch 2 5k on Friday and did the first 2 workouts. I've attempted to get my diet in line but it's not there yet.

    What's the goal this week? Eat better. Do atleast 3 more days of couch 2 5k. Try to catch a Zumba class.

    With the oscars last night, which actress' body are you jealous of? All of them. I so wish I could have a
    Personal trainer and a personal chef.

    What workout are you doing or excited to start? Aside from C25K, I'm hoping to start Zumba at the gym ( depends on if I have anyone to watch L) or Insanity on my off days.

  • I had my 6 wk appt today and I am shocked I actually waited that long. I started back on Ripped in 30 and loved getting a good workout in. I have some work to do to get back in shape and the baby made it tough to get this in but I am glad I did. I am itching to get a run in but hoping to avoid the treadmill.
