Anyone watching? I strangely ONLY end up watching the red carpet, LOVE the gowns, hair, makeup, nails and esp the jewels! Once the show starts I usually switch it to anything Bravo… although Ellen is hosting so I may watch just to see her…. love me some Ellen!

Ugh I hate the red carpet.
It's amazing to me how many actors are so fake. "Ooh I love your dress, jewels, shoes, face"
All that wealth rubbing shoulders gaggg

It's much better on mute so I can admire/make fun of their dresses and hair.

I missed part of the picture taking extravaganza. (OK I didn't but I was distracted by thoughts of Bradley Cooper)
Did Ellen tell Brad & Angelina to get it the picture? Or did they just jump in?

Well she told Julia Roberts to get in too...and few others. I'm #teamaniston too so I wanted to just hate B&A for being vain and taking it upon themselves and jumping in without an invite haha

McConaughey was SO good in DBC. Leto was FUCKING amazing, if he hadn't won it would have been a crime. Wolf of Wall Street was entertaining, and Leo did a fine job, but it just wasn't on the same level. Anytime someone physically transforms themselves like Matt and Jared did, they are automatically going to have a leg up on the competition (see also: Castaway, Raging Bull).

I just think of him as shirtless stoner guy who gets arrested for playing bongos under the influence. Not as a serious actor. I'm sure it was good, I just can't get that out of my head.

Oh I know, and I think he is that guy, and part of it was that this role called for an over-the-top Texan which is basically what he is, but being able to lose that much weight and commit to the role for so long was remarkable. Apparently he's been trying to get the movie made for years.
