  • I just add butter, milk and a little salt.
  • I don't have a recipe I follow.  I always used red skinned potatoes, boil them ,and ten throw them in the mixer to mash them up.  Then I add in a little milk, butter & sour cream.  Then I add salt, pepper, and garlic to taste

    ditto w/ pepper

  • To the potatoes we add: butter, chicken stock, milk, salt, pepper, chives = yum!  We made them for Christmas and everyone loved them.

  • Unfortunately I just make the flake, instant kind. DH doesn't like homemade ones. High standars, huh?

  • I add lots of butter and milk, and a sh!t-ton of garlic. ?Yum. ?In fact, there is more garlic than there are potatoes. :)
  • I make a Mashed Potato Casserole.

    Mashed Potato Casserole
8-10 medium potatoes, peeled and cooked
    1 pkg cream cheese, softened
    1 stick butter, softened
    8 oz sour cream
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper

Cook the potatoes (I boil and drain). Put all ingredients into your KA mixer (or bowl with hand mixer) and mix until fully blended and creamy. Spread into a 9x18 greased baking dish. Bake at 350 F for 30-40 minutes.

  • I boil red skin potatoes in french onion soup with a bit of water. Drain, leaving some of the onion in with the potatoes. Then I mix in garlic, move over butter and skim milk til creamy. DH loves it. I made it last night for Christmas dinner and there were none left.

    I like you!

I boil yukon golds in stock with 2 whole cloves of garlic; drain, mash (even the garlic!), add butter, creamm/half and half, lotsa pepper and salt. (and maybe even more garlic!), fresh chopped flat-leaf parsley

  • I add roasted garlic. Just slice the end off an entire head of garlic, so the cloves are exposed. Roast in olive oil. Prepare potatoes as you normally would, then, when you get to the point where you add the dairy, also squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of the head into the mixer. They're soft, so they'll mash right in with the rest.

    YUM.

::runs off to see if we have potatoes.::?
