That stupid weeks estimator is ticking me off! I bought a 3 pack of Clear blue digis with weeks estimator after I got a BFP on a frer. The first said 'not pregnant', a few days later it said, 'pregnant 1-2', a week later it said, 'pregnant 2-3'. Perfect, right? Except that I really wanted to see that 3+, so I bought a two pack this week and the first one still said '2-3'... Waited a few days and this morning it still said, '2-3'. Grr! Worried my levels might not be increasing and my appointment isn't until March 6th! Anyone else trying to get 3+ weeks or am I the only one so obsessed? Well played, Clear Blue. You have a lot of my money in your pocket and now I still need another stick!

Ha! I have one more left and intend to use it again in a couple of weeks. I heard that that function isn't really accurate. I read another poster said it kept telling her different things and to just pay attention to "pregnant" or "not pregnant". It should tell me that I'm 3+ but we'll see I guess...

I didn't use the estimator until I was already 6 weeks (I had never heard about them before) so I did get the 3+ at that point. Give it a few more days. I poas plenty before my first appointment.

I've done it twice now. First one 14 days after FF says I ovulated it read 1-2 weeks, took another seven days later (this morning) and it said 2-3 weeks...I've been using it to check levels too. Makes me feel better. Maybe I shouldn't?

The other thing you have to consider is the time of day you poas. I drink a lot of water so if I was to do it in the evening it wouldn't be near as accurate as first thing in the morning,

Very true. I used fmu this morning and held my pee all night (very rare for me these days), haha! I will try to hold out until my appt next week and see how that goes. It is just a nurse's appt though, so I am not expecting much.

Don't buy more! I was using these and the stick wouldn't turn 3+ long after I felt my hcg should be high enough. I was convinced I was having a c/p. Had b/w done and my hcg was 3800.... CB still came in at 2-3 wks (even with FMU) :P

Edited to fix hcg number.

The week predictor freaks me out. I'd be an anxious mess if it said the wrong amount of weeks.

My solution- call your regular doctor. (I told them I wanted to confirm pregnancy with a qualitative hcg test). The doctor didn't mind. Insurance seemed to cover it, so it was free (no copay for nurse visits), plus it's accurate, and gives an actual number.

My first doctor appointment is march 13. We must be close to the same due date

couldn't wait til then.

I used the regular old +/- Clear Blue and got a Pregnant one day after my missed period. I think the week's estimator is a strange gimmicky thing that disappoints a lot of people. I just didn't know if I trusted the pink line so I went digital. ;-)

@DaniGrace89, I have an appt with the nurse this week. She said they are doing labs and paperwork only. Maybe they will do a qualitative hcg test? What kind of number did you get from your test and how did you know what it meant? Did it predict how far along you were?

This is a slippery slope OP. You are far enough along now that you can tell more from an U/S than from having betas done. There is too big of a range for "normal". Don't even start comparing your numbers to other people's, you will drive yourself crazy with worry. An ultrasound is more accurate at this point.

I don't think they are accurate. I got a 2-3 in the morning at 5 weeks and by that night it was 3. It is said to read a 3 when your hcg is 2600. Well the very next day my hcg was 8970. So a little off if you ask me.

I never got a 3+ with them, either. I just decided to stop throwing away my money and try and wait patiently until my appointment. Easier said than done as my personality is often one where I like to be in control of things and worry a lot. Everything ended up just fine at my appointment and it is so amazing seeing that little baby and hearing that heart beat. Good thoughts for you OP.

I never bought the week indicator ones but I did buy at least 6 sticks on the regular pregnant/not pregnant ones. And this is my second baby! I don't trust the week ones for exactly this reason.

But yes, the nurse will do blood work and this should be your HCG, betas, & progesterone levels as well as your RH factor.

Thank you thank thank you all for the info! I too have been making myself crazy with the clearblue weeks estiamtor. I used on the day after my period was due 4/29 and got 1-2 weeks pregnant. Perfect right? Exactly 7 days later I tested again and got 2-3 weeks. Now, today 7 days later again....I was excepting to get 3+ and I only got 2-3 again and I am FREAKING OUT. thought? My last pregancy ended about 5 weeks ( or simply did not progress ) and I am terrified of that happening again
