Comfy sandals while pregnant

I'm beginning to look for some comfortable "dress" (I use the term lightly since our workplace is pretty lax about dress sandals...as long as they have a strap across the back they're fine) sandals once some warm weather gets here.  I usually buy something cheap, but I really need the extra support for all this weight now, so what are some supportive and comfortable sandals you'd recommend?

Re: Comfy sandals while pregnant

  • With my first pregnancy, I lived in my Birkenstocks. Not the sexiest pair of sandals, but they were so comfy.

  • I have a pair of croc sandals that I can get away with at work. Mine don't have a strap but I bet some do. I love them because they are light weight and go fine with capris or more casual dresses. Mine are black with a neutral cork wedge.

I do remember a pair of Birkenstock clogs I had in high school that were pretty comfy!

  • I have to wear orthopedic sandals, and I have a hard finding a pair that doesn't seem mantronly. I've had some luck with Earth Origins sandals and a few things from the walking company.

  • Bjorn and dansko make comfy sandals that can be cute. I wear them not pregnant!:)
  • Also lived in Birkenstocks for my first pregnancy

  • I swear by my Sanooks right now.
  • I used to own the most comfortable pair of Clarks sandals... one of the things I lost when getting a puppy. Now I'm on the hunt too. I need a pair with really good arch support which seems hard to find.

  • For extreme comfort and stuff that's good for walking, look at Dansko and Keens.

Birkenstock actually has some decently stylish sandals.  I have owned several pairs of the Gizeh sandal and they are super super comfy…really easy to run after kids in too.

I've had good luck with Jambu.  They have various mary jane styles.  I wear inserts, so I need the closed heel, but I wear something like this with casual dresses, jeans, capris, shorts.

  • Crocs! Don't knock them until you try them!
They have a lot of cute styles now that you wouldn't even know are crocs. I used to wear them to work for years before leaving my job and They were the most comfy shoes ever.
