  Yes, DS caught DD's cold. We were in the hospital last week due to him having a fever and everyone could not have cared less about the cold. After you use the saline, use a snot sucker/nose freida. That's what they told us to do.

  My LO has sounded congested since birth and just recently I have been using the saline drops and electric nose sucker that has helped clear her nasal passages. I can tell when I do it she sleeps better and nurses better b/c she can breathe through her nose! I never thought a 4week old would have so many boogies!!

  Yep! We run the cool mist humidifier all night and when it gets bad we do the saline followed by the nose sucker like 10 mins later.

  My LO was congested, sneezing, and coughing at 2 weeks. Took him to the doc and found out he has RSV. We've been using a cool mist humidifier, saline drops, and the nosefrida and he seems to be getting better.

  Emily is congested....she sneezed a booger about the size of a grape out of one nostril when I was breast feeding today, along with a few mls of milk. The expression on her little face was priceless

  DS2 woke up last night congested as well. Like everyone else, we are using the humidifier, nose frida & saline drops.

  LO also started to sound really congested around 3 weeks, no cough or anything and it didn't seem to bother him too much, but we could hear the congestion in his little nose.  Ped said that as long as there was no fever we could just use the cool humidifier, saline drops and aspirators like PPs said.  

  
  

  His congestion seems to come and go, some days he's fine, others he seems a little stuffy, so I'm thinking it's likely the dry air.  We keep the humidifier going (esp at night), and just rely on the saline drops followed by the aspirator when it seems like he could use it.  The battery powered aspirator seems to work best for us since it seems to get the most out quickly (quickly is the key, since LO HATES it).  Via googling, I saw the tip to cover the other nostril opening with your finger before "sucking" the other one - I tried this and it definitely helped a lot.

  @tyrannosauruslex, I use it when the stuffiness seems to inhibit LO's eating or sleeping.
