anyone have issues with bosses due to health

I've had the boss from hell. With my first pregnancy he was very supportive in my heath especially when I came down with server pre-e and hospitalized at 24wks. Now since I told him we were taking more precautions with the twins this time since I've had more health issues; he's been a complete ass. I've even had to report him to my HR. He even says rude comments to a fellow coworker who's almost full term. I've been to the hospital once already and I'm only 12wks among. How do you guys deal with an rude and unsympathetic boss. Oh and my boss wife is pregnant as well, you think he'd understand but no.

    I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Write everything down with a date and time that he does or says that's inappropriate. Make sure in your documentation that you do not write down your feelings or interpretations, just the facts. Also only write down the things that are true violations. Monitor his behavior with an objective eye and if it gets really bad go to HR.

    Also, make sure you have doctors notes for everything just in case. Appointment receipts, paperwork, ultrasounds and obviously notes from doc asking you to take it easy etc.

    I did! I had severe pre-e too. I should have went out at 28 weeks but I pushed to 30 and was forced out. I enjoyed my time home on the couch until they came a little of 36 weeks later. He even harassed me when I got home also. Just get doctors notes and enjoy your time home.

    This! When I first found out I was pregnant (before I even told anyone) my boss was making snide comments about how our company suddenly had to have a lactation room because someone hired a women with a newborn and comments about one of our customers that was pregnant.  It shook me up and made me terrified to say anything about being pregnant.  I went and talked to HR and what LittleLady posted is exactly what he told me to do.  Document facts anytime anything happens that makes you uncomfortable.  HR has to take it seriously if you go to them.

    I ended up leaving my last job because my boss did similar things.  I wasn't pregnant yet but he was not understanding of sick days or my regular doctor's appointments.  After he made a big stink about one of my coworkers taking time off when his wife had a miscarriage I started looking for a new job.  He was even calling the hospital asking when my coworker was coming back to work!!  I would have sued for harassment!  Our HR department consisted of one woman who never had kids and she was equally pig headed.

    I told my boss on Thursday I was pregnant with twins and the Friday I was "let go" for "being unable to perform job duties".... Never been warned of anything, written up, etc. I was pissed!

    Oh boy do you have a case of wrongful termination.  Especially since you don't have an write-ups.

    TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

    Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

    Oh I know I do! We are still discussing the options at this point. I'm trying to decide if it will be worth it to take it to an attorney. I want to for the principle of the issue!

    Have a consultation with a lawyer to figure out your options.  They'll give you a better idea of your rights and what's worth doing.  I can't imagine going through a twin pregnancy after losing my job and especially if you lose your health benefits!  My last doctor's appointment was with a specialist and the out of pocket would have been $4,000 without insurance.

    I was very fortunate in that I have an invidual health insurance policy, so even though I lost my job we still are covered. It's not cheap, but it could have been so much worse.
