Hi! I am from the infertility board and I am getting ready to start my first round of IVF w/ICSI and I would love to hear as many success stories as possible! So please! Let's hear it! Who had success their first round of IVF w/ ICSI! Thank you all so much!

I had success on my first IVF cycle with ICSI and I know there are many others as well.

What is your diagnosis? ICSI is wonderful, especially for those dealing with Male Factor.

Thanks for your reply! I have PCOS and my husband has MIF...so ICSI was our only option...I just want this to work so bad the first time...any tips or tricks that you tried that you think helped the success?

No tips or tricks. I know some people do accupuncture and circle & bloom relaxation CD's, but I just jumped in......

Also like @mg0202 I only put back one embryo, and was still successful.

#1 IVF w ICSI gave us our 2 beautiful girls. DD2 was a FET from our first cycle.

Good luck! We did everything, acu, yoga, meditation, fertility vitamins, all the supplement- wheat grass, royal jelly, ate as organic as possible, no alcohol and no caffeine. Dx was DOR and borderline MFI.

I do acu, no alcohol for over a month now both me and DH, no caffeine for the passed year...I have a "Pregnancy Tea" but I am scared to drink it and mess something up...I will do anything though!

We had IVF w/ ICSI and our first try resulted in my sweet DD. I just followed protocol to te letter - didn't do anything else. I didn't have alcohol or caffeine. Good luck!

IVF #1 w/ICSI brought us DS1. Dx @ the time was MFI and ovulatory dysfunction. We were also lucky with IVF #2 w/ICSI and our twins are almost 10 mos. Dx for #2 was MFI and DOR. We transferred 2 embryos both times. DS1 resulted from a 3dt and our b/g twins are from a 5dt. No tips or tricks. I just followed my protocols carefully, continued PNV, avoided caffeine, and refrained from alcohol other than a single glass of wine prior to ET (obviously nothing after). Good luck to you!

I did IVF w/ICSI due to severe MFI. We were lucky to succeed on my first cycle. Unfortunately #2 has been more difficult.

We did have success on IVF #1 with (rescue) ICSI, but I honestly believe it was luck.

Best advice I can give is to force yourself to relax as much as you can. Good luck!

Hi We have mfi only allowing us to do icsi. I got pregnant first time but had missed miscarriage due to chromosome problem. then had twins second cycle, third cycle no luck but they had changed protocol and my progesterone went up too high during stims. and now pregnant with a frostie from the last cycle. I ate a piece of pineapple including core each day after transfer as I had heard others talk about it. (I didn't do the pineapple the cycle that didn't take my mom reminded me I better the last cycle lol) Best of luck!

Royal jelly is like honey- you can get it in amazon. Wheat grass powder is also on amazon, although you can get frozen cubes at a health food store. Along w coq10, these help egg quality. My husband took the men's fertile aid vitamins and I took rainbow light prenatals. If you are seeing an acupuncturist, you can ask for advice on supplements. Good luck!
