Nursing tanks ?!?

Ladies, Are nursing tanks helpful or are they just another one of the money making tactics? I am all for helping and making life easier, but hate to waste money on not needed items :) Thanks

Re: Nursing tanks ?!?

  • I wear mine all the time. When going in public I wear a tank with a sweater over it. I will wear one most nights also.

  • I like them! I got black and white ones from H&M and they were cheap!

  • I didn't use them with DD#1, but after using them with DD#2 I wish I had used them. A good nursing tank is worth the investment!

I got cheap ones from Walmart, H&M and target ( the best IMO )and wore them a ton for the first 3 months. I still use them but will just do stretchy tops for pull down too

  • I live in my tanks! They are so comfortable and very convenient. Plus, with the built in bra it's a 2 for 1!
  • Another vote from the itty bitty titty committee. I wear them in lieu of a bra. The cami type with the bra shelf thingy.

  • I love the Bravado tanks.  I have huge boobs...34H when nursing so I needed something with fantastic support.
  • In wear an undercover mama tank every time I leave the house. I like that they hook to a regular nursing bra so I can still feel like I get enough support.

  • If you like the idea of the undercover mama tanks (the strap is modified to become a loop that goes around the clip of any nursing bra) just check out Google or Pinterest for DIY instructions. I disliked Bravado tanks and didn't want to spend a ton of money. Just bought a bunch of tanks at Target in a couple of colors and spent 10 minutes or so on each. They work really well!

  • I got mine from H&m and they're great! I made some adjustments to the shelf bra so I could still get some support (36 E) without shoving my cleavage everywhere :-P

  • I actually made some. They are easy to make. Here is a link to the tutorial, if you are interested. https://northernbellemama.blogspot.com/search?q=Tank

  • Love the target tanks but I am a small B. Bravado nursing bras are great too.
  • I have been living in the ones from Target. I'm not impressed with the support (F cup pre preg), but for around the house, they are fine. I rarely go anywhere these days anyways!

I love them and live in them from pregnancy through all of nursing. I love that I can nip or with company over and not expose my belly when I lift my shirt. And I can wear just those at home, or those and a cardigan to work, or just under a normal shirt.

  • Target now carries some from bravado basics that have more support than their Gilligan and o'malley line. I wear a nursing tank every single day and dd is now 6 months old. Definitely worth it for me.

  • I like them. Comfortable and convenient. :)
  • For me they were a huge waste of money. I opted to just buy tanks with built in bras that I could pull down!
