pink eye

So. Girl's eye is, well, pink. She's rubbing it, but it's not seeping or runny. Me and her both have colds so there's that. Opinions? Is pinkeye the first go-to I should be worried about?

Re: pink eye

  • It could just be irritated. Also you only need an antibiotic if it is bacterial. So, if the eye is crusted over after sleeping or there is a goopy discharge that would indicate that it is bacterial and needs an antibiotic.

I have had a lot of issues with eye irritation from various things. I have always found a warm wash cloth to be helpful.

Thanks. Husband came in and got her wgile I was half asleep. She had woke up when he came in so she was more awake than me. He said "Hi Sweetums - wait she has pink eye!" So in my sleep induced haze I heard "her eye is going to fall out." LOL

  • Could be, but Henry always seems to get an eye infection when he is really sick, and it's never been actual pink eye. Still, the antibiotic ointment they gave us worked really well. Breast milk also works if you know anyone who is nursing and willing to share, lmao.
