Sleeping at night w/ paci?

My LO will be 5 months March 3. Lately he's been sleeping with his pacifier & tonight I noticed that he is sound asleep with it in his mouth. I'm scared that if I remove it, he will wake up. I also don't want him to choke, god-forbid... Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Lots of babies sleep with a pacifier.

    He will be fine. Sometimes my LO keeps it in his mouth and sometimes it falls out once he sleeps. If you are worried sneak it out.

    It can also help prevent SIDS because it helps them not fall into too deep of a sleep where they could forget to breath (some babies have a slight form of sleep apnea and the pacifier can help)

    My 5 month old sleeps with one, has from the beginning.  I have also heard it helps prevent SIDS.  I see it as a good thing until they cry every 5 min. when it falls out.  : )

    Oh wow. Good to know. I had no idea that pacifiers can prevent SIDS. Good to know. The binkys I give my son are new and I discard them after about 2 months or so.
