I HATE pickles. I didn't even eat one until college and it was so vile, I never ate them again. I pick them out of hamburgers, etc.

DH was just dumping out half of a huge expired Sam's Club quantity jar of pickles into the sink (well, the juice, the pickles went in the trash). I was all set to say how insensitive he was to do that, when I've been nauseous all day.

Omg, they smelled amazing. I was sniffing the air as if it were a spring day!

Ha! I love pickles but hadn't eaten any since the bfp. I bought a jar of bread & butter pickles today...I'll be lucky if they last the weekend.

Same thing happens to me during pregnancy. I usually hate dill pickles, but when I'm pregnant I can't get enough.

Total opposite for me. I am normally a dill pickle person but for the last 2 months I haven't wanted any! My family knows I am pregnant because of this.

I have always loved pickles... Today I went to a party and someone made pickle dip... Cream cheese, pickle juice, and cut up pickles... Amazing

@Flowerchica if you can get the spices where you are, you can make your own in like a week - there are tons of recipes online. The ones I've seen call for actual canning, though, which is beyond my technical and equipment abilities...

bainidhedub I've heard that. Although now it's moot because I'll be moving back to the States in a few weeks. But PLEASE BELIEVE ME - it's ON with the pickles when I get back.

The other night I really wanted pickles... we didn't have any and we needed dinner anyway, so I talked husband into getting me a Whopper with extra extra pickle (I always order extra extra 'cause some places act like the amount of pickle they give me will affect their pay). They did not fool around! It was glorious.
