I am clueless about what crib to buy! I have a book called baby bargains that has been a great resource but cribs I have liked, they haven't recommended. They say they chip and don't hold up well. Does anyone have a crib they love - somewhat reasonably priced? I can't rationalize spending >$600 on a crib?? I appreciate any suggestions!!

I think it's something like graco lauren. Nothing fancy but we haven't had any issues with it and it didn't break the bank.

Cerclage, P17, and 3 months of bed rest brought us our Rainbow.
Dum spiro, spero.
It regularly sells for $299.99 but we nabbed it during their baby sale for $50 off.
I bought a Dream On Me convertible for this baby. Paid $89 for it around Christmas, also at Walmart.
Babies and toddlers are tough on furniture. I don't think expensive pieces are immune to kid damage. I do believe adults are motivated to take care of higher-end pieces because of the investment and the pride issue, but kids feel no such obligation. I'd much rather my child damage a <$150 bed than a $500 one.
