Water heaters

Our water heater is on the fritz so we'll be replacing it. We're trying to decide if getting a tankless is the way to go. Our current one is from 1992! Ha! If you have tankless what do you love/hate about it?

We plan on getting a tankless when our current water heater goes out, it love how small and efficient they are. We wanted one 5 years ago when our original water heater went out, but they were REALLY expensive and would not be covered by the home warrenty we got with the purchase of our house.

The one we're looking at would be about $1,200 and DH and my dad can install it. Maybe +/-$50 in extra parts. I bribed DH with long showers ;) So we'll see if that sways his decision!

Check with your utility company too to see if they have a rebate available. I believe ours has one for tankless and regular, but they have to meet certain criteria.
