Can A Baby Develop Allergy to Gerber Baby Food?

Help!!!! LO had stomach bug as of last Friday. She was fine on Sat/Sunday. Monday got sick after she ate Gerber baby food and oatmeal at daycare. So we stopped feeding her food over the past 2 days until tonight. She had 1.5 tablespoons of oatmeal and 1/2 Gerber Squash baby food that she's had numerous times. had a bottle at 8:30 and fell asleep. She just woke up puking!!! Oatmeal and baby food are nowhere near expiration date. Could she have developed an allergy to her food?!!

She's had both lots of times and over many weeks? If so, I don't think it's the food. A few possibilities: lingering bug, new bug, ate something at daycare that someone isn't aware of/forgot to mention.

Yes, she's had oatmeal from the same container and before getting the bug ate oatmeal with fruit or veggie twice a day. I'm hoping it is still the bug but I figured we were so past it since she had not gotten sick since early Monday. Now I'm going to be scared as crap to introduce her to her food again. I felt so bad for her looking at her getting sick.

She probably just picked up a stomach bug from daycare.

When people ask me if I/my kids are "still sick" I respond with "or sick again. It's hard to tell where one sickness ends and another begins." It sucks but it's totally possible she got reintroduced to the stomach bug at daycare :-/

I agree with Workinit and elmoali, her tummy just might not have been ready or she's still sick/sick again. I hope her tummy is better soon.
