I didn't read it, and I wasn't bothered by actually preparing food in there, but it gave me anxiety thinking about how to clean the machine out afterwards. Gross!
Idk what you referenced, but the only dinner that I will be eating that involves a coffee pot to make is one that required a couple cups of plain hot water and the coffee pot was the handiest way to heat said water.

I thought this sounded gross at first, but then I read the article. The reason people were trying to cook in coffee pots is because it was the only appliance they were allowed to have. I think it was soldiers who were doing it. I ended up thinking it was a really cool idea.
