Re: Moms of boys - bed head

  • I run his brush under water and brush his hair with the wet brush.  When his hair is short I don't need to do it as often but when it starts growing out it gets pretty wild.

  • I brush it with a wet hairbrush, and then stick his winter hat on him. When the hat comes off his hair is tame, strangely enough.

  • I was using a spray detangler and combing it, he just got a hair cut and I told her to make it super short because it's a rats nest!
  • I actually just have a spray bottle of water like they use at barber shops, so I spray his hair til its moist and then comb out.  Works pretty well.

TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

This is really stupid, but I had no idea there was such a thing! I might have to pick some up. His hair is really thick so I have to pretty much soak it with water to try and tame it, I'd be interested to see if this works better.

DS got my thick, curly hair and this is the only thing that works for us. Hope it works for you too!

  • I just leave it, too. We never brush his hair. After his bath in the evening I dry it off and that's it :-)

  • No idea! B has this too. Of course he has momma's hair where the back just looks like a frizzy mess but only in one patch.

  • It's the middle of winter, so I take full advantage of "the hat" - no sense in combing it out because once it goes in the hat, he'll have "hat head"... When I do need to do it and there's no chance of a tub, hat , or leaving it (my preferred method LOL) - we just use the spray bottle of water and comb it out...

  • I have a girl, but she still has very short hair.  It is crazy when she wakes up, but using conditioner the night before seems to make it easier to smooth out.
