BV infection???

So I will be 9 weeks on monday, a few days ago I started spotting a small amount of pinkish blood. I called my midwife and she had me come in. She swabbed me for a vaginal infection and said I had one. She started me on antibiotics 2 times a day for 7 days. I'm now 3 days into the medicine and my spotting had basically stopped. Then today I was a little bit crampy and had quite a bit of bright red blood in my underwear. It seems to have all came at once. I'm no where near soaking a pad an hr...but I'm worried. Anyone ever had bacterial vaginosis before/spotted before??

    I've had BV a few times, but never while pg and I never had spotting. My sx were greyish white discharge, mild itchiness and a mild fishy odor to the discharge.

    I have had BV, but postpartum. I didn't have any bleeding or spotting. I would def. call the after hours line for your doctor or midwife and ask what they think.

    I have chronic BV. Ive had it for the last 3 years. It started right around the time I was diagnosed with Hashimotos (a thyroid disorder) it's more annoying than worry some. My dr said pregnancy intensifies it for some women. Hopefully you will have only one bout of it. If the antibiotics don't help (for me they don't) you can try using rephresh wash and a probiotic. I sit in baths with a little cool water & vinegar for 10-15 min. That's helps me so much. As far as the bleeding, for me, BV makes me very irritated and sore. Before pregnancy I would bleed if it was really bad. If it gets worse def call your dr just for peace of mind if anything. Hope you feel better soon!

    My doctor called today told me that I have BV. Which I was convinced was a yeast infection because anytime I take vitamins (previously to being pg) I would get a yeast infection. I am coming up on 10 weeks and they prescribed me Flagyl, which i am a little nervous about taking. I just placed another call to the doctors office to confirm it is ok for me to take it or if I can wait the 2 weeks until I am out of the first trimester. Not sure how to feel about this.

    My physician told me that they don't treat it with flagyl until second trimester ...

    I was diagnosed at my first OB appt. Started a vaginal gel this past Monday. No bleeding but I've been having a ton of discharge which the dr said is normal.

    Married: 6/4/2005Start TTC early 2012 May 2013: PCOS Diagnosis August 2013: Uterine Septum Removal November 2013: 1st round clomid, ovidrel trigger December 2013: 2nd round clomid, ovidrel trigger, BFP!!! August 2014: Baby girl arrives! February 2016: Ready for #2 May 2016: starting again with clomid, ovidrel trigger June 2016:  BFP!!! EDD: 2/21/16
