tippy toe walking

So the last week or two Wesley has started to walk on his tippy toes when his shoes are on. He only does it for a few moments and then starts walking normally again. Could his shoes be too small for him? I keep checking and his toes are not up to the front yet, but I can't figure this out. Is anyone else seeing this? has he just discovered this and now thinks it's cool?

This very common and normal at this age. Especially when encountering a change in flooring or grade. Many time shoes just feel funny and now that they are becoming more self aware they are just now noticing it.
