Hi everyone, I'm glad this past week is over. After my m/c, my betas continued to rise so they thought it was ectopic. Since I cycle out of state, I had to call my OB for help. She sent me to the ER for methotrexate. Turns out it was an incomplete intrauterine miscarriage. After 13 hrs in the ER, I opted for a manual vacuum aspiration with no drugs since I was alone and could not have narcotics or anesthesia.. DH was an hour away at work since we thought Id just get a shot.. It was the most traumatic, painful treatment of my life.. But at least it worked as my beta was down 75% 30 hrs later.. As for future plans, I have to use 2 blah-quality frosties b4 I can pick a new donor. I will do the FET sometime in March just to get it over with. I will start estrace as soon as beta is zero. The superpower I would like : mind control to no longer want a baby....

@Mrs.McIrish - huge hugs to you and yh. I am so sorry you had to go through that on your own, you are a strong woman.

Update: The big week is finally here! We are heading over to the city where our procedures are done with our GC on Wednesday with Thursday transfer. I am so nervous that the embryos won' t survive the thaw, because that is what happened the last (almost) FET with us.

Just praying for at least one!

We are just waiting to hear if my donor started her period over the weekend! It is so weird to be so concerned over someone else's period. We have started the legal paperwork and hope to have that done this week. Since my FET won't be until mid April I am hoping to lose some weight. I REALLY need to get more serious about it like NOW. Nothing crazy but I think 10-15lbs is doable.

As for super -power not really sure ... would being able to eat anything you want and not gain weight be a super power? If it was that would be it for sure!

Update: This past week has been hell. We found out on Thursday that my dad has pancreatic cancer. It has been such a tough few days and we are exhausted and just mentally drained. It is breaking my heart that Caleb is never going to get to know my dad. His birthday is next Sunday and it is just crushing to know this will likely be his last.

Luckily, Caleb is doing well and has slept through the night for the past 2 nights. It is like he inherently knows how badly i need to get some sleep and is helping me do that

QOTD: i have always wanted the ability to stop time and in light of recent events, that power would be even more special.

Mrs.McIrish - sorry you had to go through that - I hope even though your remaining embryos are blah-quality that they equal a THB for you.

AFM, no update. My hopes for a March transfer are gone and now I'm just hoping for an April transfer. I have a stupid work trip right in the middle of the month though, that may screw that up too. I'm on BCPs in the meantime, just waiting.

QOTW: I would like to be invisible. I just think that would be awesome.

Check in: I started stimming last week! Unfortunately, they hardly saw anything on my baseline U/S so I am on the max dose of Follistim. At my appointment on Saturday, the doctor said it looks like we are only going to get about 10 eggs. She said there was a tiny chance that more could develop since it's still early, but she wasn't hopeful. She had expected to get around 20. I am so mad at my body. Not one thing in this whole trying to start a family thing has gone right for us...nothing. I'm really stressing about this. I go back tomorrow for another appointment and hopefully things look better, although based on our luck, I'm not hopeful. I'm just so worried now that something's going to happen and we won't have any eggs. Probably an irrational fear, but originally, our doctor told us if we got 20 eggs, we'd probably end up with 6-8 embryos. If we only start with 10, that just makes our odds that much worse.

QOTW: It's not a super power, but I wish I had unlimited energy and motivation. I have all these fabulous ideas (mostly from Pinterest) about projects I want to do, things I want to try, and stuff I want to do at home and even at work, but I am the queen of procrastination. I'm only motivated to do stuff around the house when I'm working and vice versa. I wish I could get home from work and just tackle one project or craft I want to do instead of sitting on the couch!

You too, @jms1374. That is such tough news. I lost my dad to brain cancer last year and it is so hard to know that your children won't know such an important person in your life. Thinking of you.

@sammer818, hang in there and I hope you get the results you want and that things turn around.

Not much going on here. My husband and I have our psych eval tomorrow since we'll be using a GC. We plan to do another IVF stim round in March and freeze all, so we'll be starting that process soon. I'm trying to not freak out about not having a firm timeline in place for everything.

AFM: I've been pretty depressed since my appt with Dr. KK. I don't have the full results yet but during the consult I found out that I have a short cervix and a small uterus. She is also concerned with the bloodwork I brought with me. Looks like carrying and implanting may be a problem. I find out her recommendations next Wednesday.

ETA QOTW: I would love to be able to keep a spotless house. What superpower would that take? Being two places at once? Speed? Multiple hands? Ability to stop time?

Lincoln: good luck this week Jalara: hoping for a strong heartbeat Check in: we have an ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow. Egg thaw is Friday. Hoping for a good fertilization report. If all goes as planned, our transfer is next Wednesday. I cannot believe we are this close. QOTW: Since the first time I saw Bewitched on TV as a little girl, I have wanted "Samantha" powers. I thought it would be cool to wiggle my nose to clean the house, fix a meal, go to Paris to shop, etc. of course now I would use those powers to make sure we all had the families we are hoping for.

AFM: I had my consult with FIRM, got a call on Saturday from the psychologist, Sunday night got all the forms/questionnaires for the psych eval and today I spoke with the donor coordinator for a little while and she went over some things and she will be sending out our profiles in the mail today!! We've got a lot going on real quickly over here and we are really happy to be moving forward with a plan. I hope one of the profiles we receive will have our little snowflakes in them

QOTW: I think I would like the ability to be in multiple places at once. That way I can be at work making tons of money and still be able to do anything else I want with the other part of me. They can just take turns sleeping when needed.

I have my appointment schedule for Tuesday Feb 25 at the Jacksonville office so they doctor can do my day 13 checkup , they will put me under that bday to do a dilation of the cervix and clamp my uterus so the day of the actual transfer things move smoothly, I am sooooo excited things are finally moving and I'm getting close to getting my little frozen peas. What super power would I like to have? I don't think I would like to have any , I believe that super powers bring super problems and I think. I have enough with mine hehehe

We are on vacation in the South visiting J's family - hence my late check-in (though I was proud of myself for getting it posted on time!). Lots of hugs and hopes going out to everyone. I love the participation in this check-in each week, as I think it keeps us all strong as a community!!

One shout-out to @mrs.mcirish - I read your detailed update on IFV and my heart broke for you. What an awful experience on top of an awful experience... I'm so, so sorry.

AFM - (pregnant lady here, warning), all is well. I finally turned the first tri corner between 12 and 13 weeks and can eat meat again, no headaches and sleeping better. I have no complaints because it wasn't that bad, but wow - I feel like I've emerged from a fog I didn't realize was so thick. Nice timing too, since we are visiting family and I can be gracious and eat whatever is put in front of me without risk of seeming picky or rude (they'd all be fine, but still).

I have gotten a lot better regarding our Trisomy X diagnosis. It still hits me sometimes and my heart sinks, and other times I think we have this handled and she will be our perfect child. I imagine this is totally normal. Family support has been astounding - not a flinch or even a scrunched up nose - everyone has been reassuring, supportive and hopeful for lil'mamaz and for us.

QOTW: I think I'd like the power to cure people. Especially non-physical things like depression, mania, etc. that you can't see.

@love4labs326 : I have been sending you messages not sure if you have read them but , I'm a patient of Freeman at the FIRM and doing EA thru them , I love Nan , I love the practice. Anyhow , I have a tilled uterus and apparently a tight cervix so in the past they have had problems doing the transfer is was very painful so in order for them to have an easy transfer with no pain they do that .

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm late again, it's been super busy around here. I've been toying around with the idea of starting a Photography business, and I think I finally have the guts to do it! I have a good friend who did this and she has been holding my hand. It will be nice to supplement our income when baby girl arrives this summer. Very exciting!

We also have our 16w appointment tomorrow. It's a just-for-fun appointment since we already know the sex of baby. I've been googling photos of 16w ultrasounds and can't wait to see her progress since her last one at 12w.

Also, I swear I started to *maybe* feel movement on Sunday. It felt like reaaaally mild spasms where she usually hangs out, at least from what I can tell on doppler. It might be intestinal spasms, but usually when that happens I get other symptoms along with it. And it feels different and has continued on and off through today even. I'm hoping that is it! I am grateful for where I am but scared it could be taken away in a split second. Every day that passes is a blessing.

I was snowed out of getting my beta yesterday (which would have been Beta #5), so I went in today instead. Well, I wasn't expecting an u/s until Friday, but they had me on the schedule for today and we saw one beautiful sac with a heartbeat of 120!!! I'm still nervous but very excited to have made it to this important milestone.

I go back next week for more blood work and then the following week (@8wks) for another ultrasound.

QOTW: If I could have a super power, I think it would be to be able to wave a wand and have a perfectly clean and organized house! I've never liked to clean and especially feeling sick these past few weeks, I have even less motivation to clean.

We have a transfer date!!!! Tuesday March 4 they will call me on Sunday or Monday to give me a time , yesterday I had an HCG shot the day before that was my day 13 appointment had an ultrasound showing lining:10 and one egg at 16 that is with ZERO meds at all
