How many ounces for 11 week old

Hi ladies!

My mil is watching our LO Saturday. I'm going to make up some bottles for her to feed him. How many ounces does your little ones take at a feeding?

Re: How many ounces for 11 week old

  • General rule is an ounce per hour, but this can vary from baby to baby. Has your LO ever been given a bottle before? It can sometimes be difficult to get an EBF baby to take a bottle.

  • Yes he has been taking a bottle a day since he was about 3 weeks. Just so he'd get used to taking one in cases where I needed to be away at times. I usually will give him 3-4 oz if I give him a bottle. I was just curious what other little ones were taking. Thanks :)

  • My baby is 11 weeks old, too, so I am curious. When you say your babies take 3, 4 or 5 ounces are the feedings every 2-3 hours or do feedings every get spaced out (or closer together) once bottles are introduced at daycare?
