I HATE WAITING

So after a year and a half or trying on our own and 7 months of testing and trying meds and switching around doctors and waiting on insurance stuff I thought we were finally ready to "try" since I havent o vulated since stopping BC and was diagnosed with PCOS. We finally got AF to come back at the beginning of the month and my doctor told me when or if itcame back to call her right as soon as it ended. She wanted to start me on clomid right away, I was so excited. It took me 5 days to finally get a hold of anyone in the office and when I did it was a nurse since it so happened to be the day the doctor was off. The nurse wrote down all my info and said someone would call me the next day. Well guess what, they didnt. So I called back and took 2 more days for someone. To tell me the paper was still on the docs desk, I about lost it. Finally o talked to another nurse who actually listened and got me in the next day. So this is 8 days of calling here and im annoyed but thinking im good and everything is gonna be good from here on out.
Well not so much the doctor said I now have to wait until AF comes again to be able to start the meds...IT DOESNT COME ON ITS OWN HELLO THATS WHY IM HERE!!!!!...she said if it doesnt show by day 30 to call her and she will prescribe something because we know that worked so well last time. I am just so annoyed right now I wasted another month and from what ive heard the first month on medication is almost a trial to figure it all out.
I am an impatient person anyway and ive been waiting just about as long as I can with no movement im literally going crazy. Then again all the pregnant people around me (13 and counting) im not in a good place and literally about hate everyone who is right now. Sorry for the long post but I have no one who understands and I needed to get it out.

Yeah it is an RE and thats the problem there are no others in the area, not just in network. He is the only one writhing 5 hrs of us, and works in 3 different clinics. Just a frustrating situation all together. Obviously I can't do this on my own or I wouldn't be there and for them to be this way makes me wanna go all zilla on their office.

Yep, I am in the same boat, justtt waiting.... grrrrrrrr. and "call me when AF comes" sounds like a cruel joke. Hello, it doesn't just come on its own!!!

This does sound like OB/GYN behavior to me. I recommend finding an RE or at least a new doc. Once we spent 1 year trying with no success, DH and I went straight to an RE, and I ended up firing my first RE because I wasn't satisfied with the job he was trying to do.

IF and it's treatments cost a lot of money, and overall can be very stressfull. The last thing you should have to be worrying about is if your doctor is invested in your success.

That would be so frustrating, I'm sorry.

It's odd that your RE said to call at the end of AF, typically you have a CD3 baseline appt and start meds then, rather than "call at the end of AF". I usually call on CD1 to tell them AF showed up and they say, "see you (CD3) morning". I hope you can get on to the next cycle quickly and that your RE is on top of things - I would start calling CD1 and stalk them until things were confirmed, but I'm pushy like that

@amylev80 Im in Indiana, im in the northwest part but in the farming area. Yeah it sucks that im stuck with this place no matter what. Just like for his S.A. they want him to do it at home anf make it to the hospital in 30minutes or the sample will be no good. Well we live atleast an hr away so once again everything is against us. Im in a very hateful place right now and I dont like what IF is doing to me.

I asked of there was anyway I could do things at a local doctors, and thats where it came to having his S.A. done at our local hospital and I had my hsg done there as well. It wasn't a big deal for me being an hr away for the hsg but his S.A. is driving me nuts we are trying to figure out what to do with that. I can also do some of the blood work locally but thats all they allowed. I hate the extra heartache and frustration that goes along with all this

I'm surprised they didn't give you the Rx ahead of time. My RE is really good about giving me the it at the end of the previous cycle, so I don't have to worry about getting the medication when my new cycle starts. I call on CD 1 to schedule my appointments, but I already have the Rx ready to drop off.

I'm sorry they dropped the ball and you have to wait out another cycle.

That is crazy!! Are they close enough for you to show up in person? I had to do that a couple times with mine even though they are usually on top of it but early on when I was starting things that were time sensitive and couldn't get a timely call back.

That's terrible! I'm sorry. My RE's nurse always calls me back within a few hours. Hopefully once you start your first medicated cycle they will give you refills so you don't have to go through this again!
