Mommy& baby classes

Does anyone know of any classes in the Towson area for moms and babies? Or where I could go to find them? I've looked online and Craigslist but cannot find anything concrete. I'd love to meet new moms! TIA!

Re: Mommy& baby classes

  • I don't currently have a baby (I have a 3-year-old and TTC) but I'd be interested in knowing this too for future reference. We just moved here so I'm sorry I don't have any extra info.

  • Welcome to Baltimore! The only class I've been able to find is Stroller Strides. You meet up at malls, and parks when it's warm, and exercise while pushing the stroller. You have to pay for the classes so I haven't tried it yet, but I'd rather find something free.
  • Our library does a lot of baby story hours, and every one I've been to included hang out/meet-n-greet time afterwards. Maybe check there? It's not a class, but it's free! :)

I'm not in Towson, but like PPs mentioned: Stroller Strides, storytime at your local library (in some counties, the infant sessions are called Babies in Bloom), infant/toddler program at the Maryland Science Center, Mommy & Me yoga classes, swim classes, baby signing classes, lactation or new parent support groups at your hospital, and Mommy & Me gym classes. Also, check out Meetup.com for a local Mommy and Me group.

    Edit: I wasn't done, Bump!

Thanks for the tip! I found a local story time and will be going this week!
  • Thanks for the tips!  I never thought about the library, and was able to find an infant class for me and my little girl!
