Pregnancy Announcements

There are some super cute Easter themed pregnancy announcement ideas on Pinterest. I'll be one week shy of ending the first trimester at that point. With LO, I just told my close friends/family and then put it on Facebook after the anatomy scan. Now I'm tempted! These are my favorite ideas. Are you going to try and do something to announce or just tell people?

I didn't think about doing an Easter themed announcement. I will be in the beginning of my 12 week that weekend. I think I'm just going to posted a calendar with my due date circled with little baby shoes.

I will tell my close family sooner than that. I haven't decided how to do that. Probably just put my DD in a big sister shirt like millions of other people have done.

But I was already planning on announcing publicly on Easter. There are really cute ideas on pintrest about a new baby "hatching".

Yeah, I didn't do anything with my first. Since this is my last pregnancy, I'm trying todo things I didn't with the first (like belly photos for my journal, an cute announcement, and possibly maternity pictures.)

Edited to add: so you aren't at all weird.

It didn't even cross my mind to do an Easter themed announcement. How cute!!

I was thinking about having a friend take a family picture and having DD1 hold a #1, DD2 hold a #2, and hold a #3 in front of my belly...then just waiting and seeing who notices

ETA: this would be for the general FB announcement. My parents, we already told over the phone. We'll tell my IL's when they're in town for Easter. My SIL is PG so I think we're going to ask them how they feel about having cousins a bit closer in age...like 6 months apart

We're still not sure. My birthday is towards the end of my first trimester so we might plan something creative focusing on that. Maybe incorporate some wording that says, "World's Best Present" or something like that.

DH wants to announce on April fools. I'm not sure how I feel about that but I think we'll have already told close family and friends by then and it'll still be too early for me to want to tell the rest of FB.

We haven't told anyone yet, not even parents. We'll probably tell immediate family around 8 weeks after my first apt. I just ordered a 'big brother' shirt for DS. We're boring. I think it'll be fun to see how long it takes people to notice though!

Too funny! At this point I don't even know if anybody would believe it was an April fools joke. We've had so many in a short amount of time!

IF I let him announce then maybe we'll say we're having twins. Then j/k there's only one in there? I don't know.

I told my DH by giving him a daddy to do list. I love the April fools idea, but I also want to tell my parents for their anniversary party. But then I will only be 6 weeks and word will be out to everyone in the universe once it is unannounced to my family. Not sure what to do yet.
