However, I have mismatched ones for every day use. I have two Starbucks ones, a Dean and Deluca mug, two random ones from a local shop, and one that says Kiawah Island.
I have some coffee cups that came w/ my dishes, so those all match, but, like you, those are for company (or I'll eat ice cream out of them, heheh). The mugs we use for everyday coffee consumption are a very random assortment. My current favorite is one from my sister that is Scrabble-themed and looks like it's covered in Scrabble tiles.
We have a set of eight that match our dishes and I love them, but we also have a few random ones that I love too. One is a Lets Celebrate mug for birthdays, another is a big Caribou Coffee mug from Minneapolis, another is an Awesome Dad mug and a mug I gave DH for our anniversary. We tend to use the special ones for our morning coffee and the set for cocoa in the evening.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
We have a couple of everyday sets that match, plus a handful of other everyday ones. I always use the same mug, though, it has flowers and birds on it.
The set that came with the set of dishes do...the 30 others I got over the course of ten years of teaching do not. And most of them have some sort of textbook company logo on them. Bonus: Neither DH or I drink coffee. I call them hot cocoa cups instead and they are rarely used.
we have three sets. One Crate and Barrel set matches our everyday dishes. Another set that is mismatched collection and the their set of 4 is the Rachel Ray stoneware in vibrant colors. I like to use the mismatched ones or Rachel Ray for company mostly because then it is easy to tell them apart...which is whose.
I have zero matching coffee cups, I like them to be different.
90% of them are DD related. Two she made in school with art pics, some with her pics through the years I got done, and some she drew artwork on with a kit from store we got. The other few are "special" ones I ordered or were given to me. One with my name. And one that has "meh" on it. And a FB one.
we have 4 matching that go with the dishes & about 10 randoms. funny i was just thinking about this over the weekend while at the in-laws - i was first to pour my coffee & i purposely grabbed a random mug so i'd know which one is mine. the next day, someone set out 4 identical mugs & it took about 10 minutes til FIL was trying to figure out which coffee was his.
my favorite is my I NY mug that i bought at the top of the WTC back in '99.
Nope. All different. I got a bunch from my dad that he had since before I was born. A couple Disney mugs. A mug I made in 3rd grade. A couple mugs I accidentally took from work over the years.
We have a set of matching cups that we use for company. But our favorites that we use everyday don't match. Well, that's not really true...we generally have 2 of each so we have a few matching sets of 2 that we use regularly
We have cups that match our dishes, but a few random Starbucks mugs, a couple from Hawaii, and one from our mortgage broker. I keep all of the mismatched ones on a higher shelf. DH always uses the ones that match our dishes.
Nope none of ours match. We have a few Starbucks ones that I have gotten from gift baskets, a few random ones DH got from work and then a bunch of ones I picked up at target or we got on vacation.
ANGELS ARE GIVEN WINGS AND TAKEN BACK TOO SOON --- We love and miss you soo much Kacie Rae --- 9/11/10 --- born sleeping at 29wks2d
I think I have the ones that are my china pattern somewhere. I also have a set of four Bodum double walled espresso cups and 4 coffee cups, but other than that, no.
