Things are going well here. I had my regular OB appointment yesterday and her heartbeat was good at 161. The nurse kept catching her for a few seconds and then she would move away! I am really struggling with it being another 5 weeks before our next u/s - which will also be the a/s. The OB I have seen the last two times is okay, but I like my regular guy better because we was much more sensitive to my pgal status. I am going to try and see him at the next appt.
QOTW: fall is my favorite season. I love the leaves, the weather (not too hot, not too cold) and my family has a hug amount of birthdays in the fall. Of course, this year I will also have another reason to love August too!
TTC Since January 2012

Hello 2nd Tri Ladies! I hope you're all doing well - I'm frigid too! My favorite season is fall, with summer coming in a close second. I love doing stuff outside, and this brutal winter is starting to get to me!
This week marked my first trip to L&D as I was having an increasing amount of BH contractions and some cramping that felt like menstrual cramps. I just didn't feel so good about it, and I wanted to make sure everything was ok because we are still so early. My OB said that contractions are often not painful this early, which really didn't do anything to make me feel better! Sure enough, I was contracting every 2-5 minutes, but I didn't really feel most of them. My cervix was checked and she said I was dilated just a fingertip. They did a bunch of tests (uti, std's, yeast infection, etc) and gave my iv fluids for a few hours until they checked my cervix again. I wasn't dilated any further, so they said I could go home and follow up in the office in 2 days.
This morning I was seen by a different OB, and she felt like she didn't need to do a cervical exam, which is ok by me (fewer chances for infection). She seemed unconcerned overall about my trip to L&D. She also measured me at 34 weeks (!) seems a little high to me, considering that only 2 weeks ago I measured 28 weeks. who knows!
We also learned that baby B has turned and is now breech. I asked the OB today is she'd deliver a breech baby B, and she gave me a vague answer...something about ..."well if Baby B is smaller than baby A, then maybe"
I feel like Baby A moves a lot more than baby B. this may be all in my head because I really can't be 100% sure which baby is moving, but what do you ladies think?
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
I can't believe i'm graduating from 2nd tri! ill be 27 weeks on Thursday and not much to update since my appointment isn't until next week. I really hope this little guy will still be head down.
QOTW: I love fall. I love sweaters and different colored leaves. I remember the drive last October to our first ultrasound to see if this pregnancy was viable and I just remember the ride being so gorgeous and I don't think I could ever forget that fall day since it was the first time we saw him.
Nothing major for me to report this week, just trucking along and can't believe this boy is going to be half baked in a couple weeks! I have escaped all of my weird and awful symptoms from last week and we just went back to full on nausea last night. Will have to refill my Zofran prescription, I guess!
I have the spina bifida blood work later this week and I also have my first appointment with yet another new doc! I couldn't get an appointment with the office I wanted before this week and since I needed to be seen before then, I had to go to a different office up until now...a pain in the butt, but I want to be with the doctors and hospital that everyone in the area recommend.
QOTW: I like summer and fall. I just love wearing my flip-flops all summer and enjoying some pool time and then I enjoy all the fall activities once that time of year hits. Hikes, pumpkin picking, dressing the dog in Halloween costumes! LOL

Hello lovely ladies! 17w today and have made a new record of not throwing up! I'm fairly sure I can feel Carrot kicking if I sit still and pay attention. Amazing to see my belly growing and hubby is in love with it. Bought a bellaband and bigger bras this week which were both greatly needed!
QOTW: Being in Nebraska and dealing with bipolar weather...I love that mid-spring transitioning into summer time when I can leave the windows open 24-7! It's not too hot or too cold! Tonight's -22 wind chill is gonna make for a great snuggling night...brrr!

I started my registry today, well an actual in-store one since I've already started an Amazon one, and it was so overwhelming! I barely scratched the surface and I ended up scanning 58 items. I think towards the end I was just scanning stuff that I might remove later after I read online reviews to see if I really want it. Babies should come with name tags and a u-haul full of all the stuff they need!!
QOTW: Another fall lover here! Unfortunately in Texas it seems like our fall lasts about 2 days. If I didn't have seasonal allergies so bad then I'd like Spring too, but I'm generally miserable that time of year.

Hi Ladies! almost 19 weeks here. Nothing major to report. No word on 2nd trimester bloodwork, so I'm guessing no news is good news. Anatomy scan is scheduled for Monday the 3rd! Cannot wait for that!!
YES, CribQuest 2014 has concluded! I kept checking the inventory at one store to see if one of the unavailable models became available, and yesterday, it did! I double checked with DH (he really appreciated that, as he is away on business and it was 3am where he was - whoops) and went ahead and placed the order for the crib and changing table.. They arrive next week! So excited and it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!
QOTW - I also LOVE autumn! Pumpkins and mums, cider and boots, changing leaves, brisk air.. I LOVE IT ALL! As of right now, I am so over this winter! It needs to end already!!!
15w2d here! @allison7 headaches are still awful thank you for asking went to the mw yesterday and was prescribed something for them but not sure the name need to go pick it up. Hoping for something to help ease the pain. Other than that things are going well and the bump is starting to get bigger!
Qotw: i LOVE fall weather best of all but im off in summer and thats when our miracle will be here so I think summer wins!
@allison7 Glad you are to hear to be a member too! Welcome!
@violettegrayskies It's so annoying to hear that there is an issue. The good news is that previa that early normally clears no problem. As your uterus gets bigger, it moves out of the way. I have a good feeling that you will be in the clear, girl!
@jennys86 Sorry to hear about your trip to L&D. I'm glad your OB seems unconcerned. Wish I knew about twin movement to give you some suggestions!
I had my real a/s though I had an elective. The good news is that baby still checked-out as a girl! I was team green with DD, so this has been interesting to experience. I'm very, very excited. I went straight to BRU and spent $200 on clothes The ultrasound came out great. I was a nervous wreck. . . it seems that damn IF is always haunting.
Not much going on here. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow and am just waiting for anatomy scan on 3/20. Also waiting to feel move, net, but so far...nothing.
QOTD: my favorite season is Spring. I love seeing the end of Winter and feeling the temperature start to warm up. After this Winter, I can not wait for Spring!
8/2011: Diagnosed with ovarian cancer, ovaries and tubes removed
Hello ladies and hope everyone is doing well. I failed my glucose screen last week so have to have the three hr test next week. So bummed! And funny since I still can't handle a lot of food right now! We have our 4D us in 11 days. Can't wait! Child care class was this past weekend and a cool experience for me and DH. Bellow is a picture of the last time he attended a child care class (he was 3 and it was for siblings!). So we joked that that was the last time he changed a diaper. That will change soon!
QOTD: summer! Running, swimming biking, being at the pool.
Hey peeps! I am doing good these days, the leg cramps/swelling are getting pretty bad but whatevs. I'm getting huge and still having RLP (which I just call "growing pains" by now). I went into the doc to check them out and all is well it's just... stretching lol. My weekly app thing says from now till ~end of 2nd tri the bab(ies) go through a huge growth spurt and double their weight. So, it will probably not get better anytime soon haha.
Glad to see everyone is doing pretty good! T&Ps for those that need them and good juju that all our babies continue to grow nice and strong.
QOTD: I like the Fall weather wise, but I love the Summer for all the activities we get to do. We live at the lake in the summer and when we're not there, we're biking on the trails. Love!
Hi, everyone! I'll be half-baked on Friday -- YAY! And my a/s is tomorrow (Thurs.). I can't wait to know the sex but am nervous about the ultrasound -- of course (IF brain). DH got to feel the baby a couple of nights ago, which was great.
My favorite season is fall. I love the cool refreshing feeling in the air after a long hot summer. DH and I are moving to the West Coast (CA) this fall, though, and I'm kind of sad I won't experience the seasons the same way anymore. (Though this time of year I'm ready to be done with winter forever!)
hi everyone! sorry i missed the check in yesterday. i'm a little over 15 weeks and feeling better. i still get some random nausea attacks, especially in the car or with certain smells, but it's fleeting and not all day like first tri.
i had an OB appt yesterday and things are looking good. baby's HB was in the high 150's and moving a lot (somersaults!) so i'm thinking boy! haha. truly i have no idea and will be happy with either a boy or girl. @Allison - yes I'm definitely anxious and a little scared about having three under two. if we didn't have the most amazing support system i'd be really nervous, but i feel like it's going to be the same as having twins. difficult in the beginning, but so so rewarding! i always felt like i'd have three children so i believe this was just all in the plan
summer is totally my favorite season! i used to say fall, but since i live in new england fall just means preparing for winter. we live super close to the beach and can walk there with the stroller, so i can't wait for this summer to be able to walk the kids down after their naps and have them run around on the beach.

All is well here. Baby is moving around all the time now which is a great reassurance for me and my nausea is finally subsiding! It has been replaced by some heart burn, but that is SO much easier to deal with! I am finally adding in some protein powder to my smoothies to help with the muscle fatigue.
@katekat8721 my yoga instructor suggested adding some coconut water to your diet for leg cramps. The other suggestion(other than potassium of course) was a calcium deficiency. Maybe it's worth trying?
QOTW: Summer is my favorite!! I would rather deal with hot temps and sunshine than cold weather any day!

Hi ladies! Things with me are going well. I can't believe I'm in week 23 already, it's flown! Only 5 more weeks until 3rd tri - WHAT?!? I'm feeling great, not aches and pains, and I'm still only up 1 lb from where I started, but my m/w aren't concerned because baby's growth is right on track. I am significantly larger than I was 2 weeks ago according to my belly pics - like holy moly bigger! So who knows.
I will say that I've started freaking myself out about baby's movements. Monday baby was all over the place, I could even see the movements when I was laying on the couch at night! Then yesterday there was almost nothing and of course now I'm worrying. This morning I think I've felt a little, but not like I usually do. Does anyone else go through movement peaks and valleys? I'm hoping that baby is just turned in a way that I can't feel the movements as much, like maybe with the back to my front or something.
QOTW:
I actually don't really have a favorite season, and I have thought about this a lot, particularly when I was getting married. Part of why love living in NJ is because we do get all 4 seasons. If anything, I would say the opposite and say Spring is my least favorite - it's usually still too chilly not to wear a coat here and it's always wet. Fall is just cozy and yummy, Summer just gives you the "aaaaah" feeling and who doesn't love going down the shore, and Winter is my skiing season so I love the snow and fires in the fireplace!
Edit: typos - My stupid work keyboard sometimes skips letters. I think I have an issue with my docking station.
Me 31 ~ DH 30 IVF/FET #1 - BFP!! CJW 6/15/2014 DX - PCOS 2004 FET #2 - scheduled for 11/24/15
hi ladies! 23 weeks along today! We had a regular OB appt. and u/s last Friday - babies are still looking good! The u/s tech was able to get all the remaining heart shots she was unable to get at our anatomy scan last month, and everything looked normal on those. Baby boy weighed about 1 lb 2 oz, and baby girl is about 3 oz less. The doctors are still monitoring baby girl's growth, to ensure that she grows at a steady rate, since she's so small - but at this point, they didn't see a reason to be concerned, since she's still normal (although only in the 25th percentile...) and has her own sac and placenta, so it's not like baby boy is being a food hog and depriving her. I was able to confirm that baby girl has an anterior (in the front) placenta, which is acting like a big pillow absorbing all her movements. So it's good to know that there's a reason I haven't really felt her much. The doctor said that in a few weeks, as she gets bigger, I'll start to feel her a little more often (at least her "big" movements). Other than that, just hanging in there! Swelling is still pretty bad, and carpal tunnel sucks, but it's all just temporary.
QOTW: Spring is my favorite season! I love watching the trees fill in, and daisies and tulips pop up, and the general clean smell of Spring. I could do without the pollen, but that's usually gone by mid-April anyways.

I'm 15 weeks this week and didn't have any appointments this week. I scheduled our 2nd trimester screening for the end of March, so hopefully we'll find out the sex then. I think I felt the baby move for the first time this week. It definitely wasn't gas pains, but felt like little ping from the inside out. QOTW: I really love early summer, when it is warm but not overly humid and muggy. For that same reason, I love early fall as well. The bright colors, blue skies--everything feels more alive. Looking forward to taking walks with my little one in the fall!
Edit: Maternity clothes favorites. For casual weekend ware, Motherhood Maternity and Target tops, work out clothes- Old Navy (maternity shorts, normal topis) and work clothes- Pea in the Pod.
Hi Ladies. I think I missed last weeks check in. Sorry but really nothing new to report. I have my a/s next Monday the 3rd and I'll be exactly 19 weeks. Still not feeling much movement which of course makes me anxious because I swear I was feeling DD by now. Stupid IF brain! We will remain team green but I can't wait to just see LO again.
I guess my favorite season is spring. My birthday typically falls on the first day of Spring so I guess I'm a spring baby at heart. I love the fall too but it usually is much worse on my allergies which I hate.

Hey ladies sorry it has been a while since I checked in. I have been traveling for work and personal so computer time besides work/school has pretty much been nil. I can't believe I am almost in the 3rd trimester already. I had my hospital tour last night and it made me even more excited for her to arrive. I still have a ton to do though before she comes so at the same time I need the 3 months that are left.
QOTW: My favorite season would be fall...not that we have much of one here in Arizona.
Brenda & Phillip married 10/10/09
After 6 years of failed cycles, we were blessed with our little man through adoption.
Hi Ladies!! Sorry I'm a bit late to the check-in. @Allison07- Congrats on officially joining 2nd tri! You are doing an awesome job as check-in leader!!
Had my 20 week u/s today, and it was amazing!! It was a level 2 u/s, not 3d, but amazing nonetheless! They spent a full hour on each baby going through every detail of their body parts. It was so cool, and I just kept saying "I can't believe we saw them as little cells dividing, and now they are full little people!" Baby boy was majorly showing off his goods, while baby girl was a bit of a modest prude. It was hilarious. We got a perfect report, so we're thrilled! I've been doing lots research on baby gear, ordering bedding, looking at furniture...so much to do!! And I thought planning a wedding was stressful!!
QOTW: While I love how beautiful Chicago is in the Fall, my favorite season is summer, hands down!! Flip flops, dresses, tanks, pool, beach, bbq's, sunshine, etc., and seeing everyone outside all day/night brings me pure happiness and joy! Polar opposite of the daily misery here in the winter!

Hi ladies! 19 weeks, almost half way there. I had an appt and a/s on Monday, and the tech wasn't great. She had us all worried about a bunch of things, but after speaking to the doctor he wasn't too concerned. I have a follow up at MFM next week because they found a part of the placenta detached, and they will check on our peanut's size. He is measuring about 16% so on the smaller side. And the tech didn't get a good 'it's a boy' shot so MFM will check that. I think I am feeling some movement though finally. Nothing consistent but I will take anything! We are waiting for the AFP results and the follow up scan next week and hopefully everything ends up ok. Trying not to worry too much.
QOTW: I can't decide spring or fall. I love when it starts to get warm, the flowers come out (although so do allergies), and we can be outside in spring. But I also like when fall breaks the summer heat, apple picking, pumpkins. I think as long as it isn't an extreme I am happy!

Hey everyone! I'm 25.5 weeks and things are going pretty good. We picked up our crib over the weekend but haven't put it together yet. I bought curtains for the nursery and found a rug I like but haven't pulled the trigger yet. My upper back is starting to hurt randomly. I can't seem to get comfortable in any of the chairs we have in our house. My next appointment is the 2nd week of March.
QOTW: Spring! I love the warm weather and all the flowers blooming after a gloomy winter. Also, Easter is one of my favorite holidays!
Yes, not only did we pick out a crib, but my MIL bought it for us and it arrived yesterday. THERE IS A CRIB IN OUR HOUSE. I can't even stand it. It's still in the box, but whoa.
Had an OB appointment yesterday -- just a quickie but it was my first doppler experience since I've had an u/s at every prior appointment. It took the nurse a few minutes to find him and I was trying VERY hard not to freak out -- but then there he was, with a good strong normal hb. Everything looks good right now and we scheduled my GD test.
QOTW: Fall! I live in New England so it's hard not to love it. But of course the downside is that it leads into winter, which I am officially sick of right now. So Spring is looking pretty great. I'm not a fan of the extremes -- our old house is drafty in the winter and fairly hot in the summer (lots of windows with good cross breezes, but no central air).

Hi! @allison7, can you add me? Thanks for running the check-in! I run the third-party repro one and I know it takes some time!
I'm 15w1d today, EDD 8/20 with a girl!
We had a short appt. this week and all looked well. I'm with MFMs for full care so I have a preliminary a/s at 17w, the real a/s at 20w, and we're opting for the fetal echo around 23w. Phew, I'm feeling very high-risk but trying to not let that get in my head! I'm on Lovenox due to our 16w loss....speaking of...
Our loss milestone is Sunday! It's felt a long time coming...our baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d, and we found out at 16w1 day last March. It's been a long road to here and I'm everything crossed this is our take-home baby!
QOTW: I grew up in northwestern PA and we had amazing falls! Seattle has such mild weather (temps rarely leave the 40-80 range year round), the seasons aren't as distinct. Still, because its sunny, warm but not too hot, and no bugs or rain, I'll vote for summer!!

Hi everyone!!!
I will be 18 weeks Saturday and I must say I think IF has officially made me insane. When does the fear of something bad happening go away?
Everything is going well I think. I stopped bleeding but it began again yesterday, still brown. Nurse said as long as it's not red it's okay, but I am still a worry wart about. I love feeling the little flutters in my stomach, it's one of the best feelings. I go back for cervix measurement on the 7th and hope to find out genders. My echo is scheduled for 3/21, FX for good results.
Hope all is well with everyone!!!
Siggy warning...

HeatherHam10 I have been having headaches too. I try to take tylenol right away when they begin and I drink a cup of coffee too. I also dab peppermint oil on my temples, behind my earlobes, and where my head and neck meet. Mine are full blown migraines, so this doesn't always work, but I am trying so hard to not take anything stronger than tylenol, but at some point that just might not be possible.
As irrational as this may be, but I thought after having to deal with IF I would be given a pass on any negative aspect of pregnancy. I thought I would be one of those women who just has the most splendid pregnancies - the ultimate karma for not being one of those women who things about becoming pregnant and suddenly is. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled when I get a side effect because it is reassurance to me that things are still moving along! And I never complain about being pregnant because it is such a gift...but I just really believed that once I was pregnant I was going to be given the farting rainbows kind of pregnancy.

I'm 16 weeks today and finally really popped. It's a little bit strange to see my belly growing but it is making me even more excited. We got our Harmony test results back and everything came back <1:10000 so that was a huge relief. The only dissapointment was they didn't check the sex box so we have to wait until our anatomy scan in 4 weeks to find out what they are. But as long as they are both healthy, that's all we really care about!

I am late...busy with work and school. Our a/s went very well! Everything looks perfect and we found out we are team blue!! We are both just so thrilled! We had our gender reveal this evening for our families and they are just so happy. DH even cried when we announced the name (Eli Preston) since Preston is after his late grandfather. It was really sweet. This is a picture of our cake. We have another OB appt on Wed. I don't know if anyone is familiar with "lightning crotch", but that started for me last night. It's just so so painful and hope it doesn't happy too frequently. the thing that makes me feel better about it is that it is supposedly from baby kicking the cervix or cervical nerve or w/e. So, I guess that means lightning crotch just means baby is moving!

Re: ***2nd Tri Check-in 2/25/14***
Things are going well here.
4 rounds of clomid, 2 with IUI = BFN
Mama to Three Girls:

Hey girls!
LOL

hi everyone! sorry i missed the check in yesterday. i'm a little over 15 weeks and feeling better. i still get some random nausea attacks, especially in the car or with certain smells, but it's fleeting and not all day like first tri.
i had an OB appt yesterday and things are looking good. baby's HB was in the high 150's and moving a lot (somersaults!) so i'm thinking boy! haha. truly i have no idea and will be happy with either a boy or girl.

QOTW: I actually don't really have a favorite season, and I have thought about this a lot, particularly when I was getting married.
I think I have an issue with my docking station.

I guess my favorite season is spring. My birthday typically falls on the first day of Spring so I guess I'm a spring baby at heart. I love the fall too but it usually is much worse on my allergies which I hate.

Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!
