hospital since Friday

Called nurse fri am to see if i could add a cervical length check to my appt, which would have been today, and already included an ultrasound. Cervix was 3.98 4 wks ago..great. at 2.17 dr appt, cervix was closed. Had shooting pains very low fri am, which I could only think of was a cervical problem. Mom said just go in. triage sent me to L&D, where an mfm was working. Hooked me up and found 1 cm length and 1.5 cm dilation. Yikes! Was 26w1d with triplets. Started IV with 2 fluid bags and extra water. Monitors on all babes (they've been rockstars! ) & contain monitor. ..I couldn't feel contractions. All day, all night, had to pee every 20 mins...unplug 6 things every time and nurses had to come adjust baby monitors all night long. Dilated to 2 by 5pm. Checked next 4 am saturday..holding at 2. Still 2 Sunday am. They r less worried about a couple contractions, more about the low sharp pains. Plan was to be here til at least tomm. Most nurses agree at least Friday (27w1d) or until 28 wks. 15 mo old DD came yesterday. Was fine not to have her here. .so hard to c her go..I cried for 3 hrs:( best thing I can do for the boys tho...It's only a couple more weeks. Had lung development injections fri/sat and a 48 hr course of something to stop contractions. Waiting...

I'm sorry you're stuck in the hospital! Hopefully things calm down so those babies stay put for awhile longer!

Sending T&Ps. I was in and out of hospital for shortened cervix and contractions starting at 27 weeks. Rest up. And keep those babies cooking as long as possible. You've done a tremendous job so far!

I feel your pain...I was in the hospital for 4.5 weeks before delivering my momo girls with the monitoring and everything...but I don't have other kids. That must be SO hard! It is so worth it in the end...take it day by day!

Big hug hang in there! I'm 30 wks with my trips, have to wait until Tuesday (3/3) to see my doctor....but I'm feeling the same no contractions but a sharp pain in pelvic...may have to call them in the AM.....
