Because we all need some good to balance out the bad! *Studies show reading these can actually improve your mood as well.Per usual:
- 3-5 things you are grateful for today.
- Baby or NBR, a-okay.
- Be as specific or abstract as you want. No judgement here.
*I didn't read any studies. I am gonna read your lists though!
Re: Monday Gratitude
But now I wonder how many other ladies out there have seen their purses take on a transformation from daily essentials to the added function as a snack carrier? Or are you carrying a bigger bag to accommodate snacks and other pregnancy what nots (Tums, pad/liners, assortment of lip balms...)
I am thankful for finally feeling lots of movement,
my son going to daycare for a whole week without coming home sick,
and I am thankful for the Dr's who performed surgery on my dad and were able to get all the skin cancer. He will have to be tested frequently but they are confindent that the cancer will not come back.
1) The wonderful day I had on Saturday! It was beautiful and warm, celebrated 3 birthdays, saw both sides of the family, played basketball, actually went OUT to 3 bars and dinner with friends and stayed out til almost 2 AM! Needed that day.
2) We have received 6 small bags of free infant girl clothing. AMAZING!
3) The snow melted and we can actually see the grass in our backyard. It just lifts the spirits!
I'm thankful that my SO has at least one true friend that I could talk to and get some things off my chest and then make sure my SO got his stuff off his chest. All without a he said she said crap. (Long story)
I am also thankful for Girl Scout cookies being right outside the grocery store on a bad day. Yep I opened and started eating as I was shopping. Don't judge me.
I’m thankful for my husband, who got off his night shift at 6:00 this morning and is currently tiling our half bathroom floor. Goodbye horrible purple tile! (Not sure who thought bright purple tile was a good idea.)
I’m thankful that my dog is at daycare today, I love him but he’s been driving me crazy lately!
I’m thankful Motts brand has chewy candy that only uses natural food coloring (I have dye allergies) so that I can give into my overwhelming cravings for chewy candy.
I’m thankful for my sister, she’s a little crazy, but she always reminds me that life is awesome!
-The premade starbucks coffee (it's by the milk!)at the grocery store.
-Not having any issues with this pregnancy so far, compared to the last one.. PIECE OF CAKE.
-H giving me a break from cooking/chores whenever I need it, no questions asked.
-D being sweet and super cuddly, I see other people's kids that are absolute terrors. I got very lucky with her.
2. DH's cousin just offered us her brand new, never used double stroller - for free.
3. DS. I don't know how I got so lucky. He is just the perfect little person. He is smart as a whip and so super funny. I love that I get to be his mommy!
4. The healthy baby boy in my belly. Even though he drives me nuts with his incessant bumping and thumping, I'm so grateful that I've had such a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy.

And I am deeply grateful for MIL, who is basically making everything for our nursery for us. This weekend, she finished reupholstering our rocking chair and sewing our drapes. She is a total godsend.

I'm grateful to feel this little guy kicking around like crazy, it's a nice little reminder of the 'happy' on an otherwise stressful Monday.
I'm grateful to my parents, who were shopping yesterday and bought me some spring maternity clothes, just to be nice. It was really cute.
I'm thankful for my wonderful husband who makes me smile 99% of the time
I'm thankful for some of the snow melting (finally) so I can wear flats and my feet can BREATHE
I'm thankful for all the friends and family who dragged me out to celebrate my birthday over the weekend, despite my protests. I'm also thankful for the sugar cookie cake sitting in my fridge right now that my mom made for me.
And related to that, so grateful for family and friends who pitched in taking shifts with my kids while DH was working so I could lay in the couch and try to rest. They were amazing!
Tell me more about this (please)
2- having the best son I could ever ask for. He is so cute and cuddly. And I'm bring a total aw right now but I don't care! He said mommy for the first time today!!
3- having a nice weekend with good weather. It was nice spending it with ds and getting out a little.
4- nap time!
5- my h for being so helpful and good with our kid
6- my dog, my first boy, just because. He is big and loud but he is such a sweet boy and he loves his family, especially ds and I'm sure he will love dd just the same.
@otter1103 I have never been a huge fan of regular cake, even as a kid, so my mom has always made me a "sugar cookie cake" which is just a giant sugar cookie baked on a pizza pan, with sugar-cream cheese frosting and fresh fruit on top. This year she used fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and mandarin orange slices. I need to make sure I get at least one more piece before my husband devours all of it tonight!

Second, my little DS. At 15 months, he is over the whole "snuggle and fall asleep on me" phase which is bittersweet. This morning he was super tired, so I laid down with him in our guest room hoping for some snuggles. He immediately fell asleep. I did too. About 45 minutes later, he woke up, saw me, smiled, and swung his arm around my neck then went back to snoring. Love, love, love that kid.
Third, my DH for waking up early this morning and cleaning up our kitchen, bathroom, and living room so I could start the day with a clean slate. He's totally taking over cleaning of our house since my back has been on fire for the last few months.
Fourth, being a work at home momma and getting to wear PJs all day. I do not miss professional work clothes AT ALL!
Five, my portable DVD player. Letting me watch old TV shows and rom-com's from my work area/woman cave/craft room!
2. Thankful for my husband who has really been making an effort to help me around the house and with dinner. He even started cleaning out the man cave/nursery to be without me even asking.
3. Thankful for the opportunity to back in school working towards my dream of becoming a nurse. I know it will be tough with a baby but I know I can do it!!!
