For Sasky, a mother's adventure post

I didn't want to derail Sasky's thread, but I did want to help out with some inspiring pictures. Not every mother gets the opportunity to travel the globe, but that doesn't mean we don't have some awesome adventures with our kids. We still have years ahead for adventuring with our boys, but we've already got a lot we've done with our older singleton girls :) If you've got some awesome pictures of adventures with your kids (multiples or not), I invite you to share!

Forgive my quick picture spam, but here's a reminder of the kinds of things you get to look forward to!

I cannot wait for my girls to be old enough to go on bigger, fancier, more amazing journeys with them - but, for now, I am so happy to see the adventures my kids get to have. It is an awesome experience.

  • Such cute pictures. We can't even take our girls out of the house until the end of flu and RSV season. It's been a long winter, but nice to see some reminders that it won't always be this way. :)

  • Love the pics!!!
We travel a ton! 4 under 4, no fear!
We flew back east for two weeks, go into San fransisco for day trips. Love it!
First pic is our loaded stroller in SF (only 50% of kids in pic).
The next two are of us flying. People could believe when they saw us at the airport. But it wasn't that bad! The two year old gave us the most trouble!
The key is to just get out! If it goes bad or babies start crying, I go home. And we try again the next day. But everyday does get easier.

  • These are so fun to look at! Thanks for posting. We've had a good number of adventures with our boy. I guess I just worry about adding 2 more to the mix and not being able to do the same.

We went to the USVI last year and I saw a family with 3 young kids, including an infant. I told the mom how adorable her kids were, she mentioned she was from Colorado and I mentioned how brave she was. She said, "it's not really brave, you just gotta do it and roll with it."

She was right. It doesn't have to be a plane ride away, we can still take our own adventures close by. Thanks for the encouragement guys!

He is so proud of all his kids! And has no fear going places. If I need a break, he'll take all four (4yo, 2yo and 8 month old twins) to the park. By himself. And if anyone gives him grief about twins, he has no problem telling them they're lame and jealous.
It's fun and a little wild but traveling with all the kids is totally do able. It was crazy that I had to research double strollers that could be gate checked.
