Disney again sorry

Okay so according to crowd charts our first day at Disney a Monday has moderate to high crowds at MK, DH suggested going to a different park that day, but I just have this ridiculous need to start our Disney trip at the MK. Overall the week we chose crowds are pretty low anyway. What says SAHM Disney perps?

    We are crowd dodgers, so I personally would pick a park with lower crowds for the day, but I can see where you are coming from too. May I ask which month you are going ?

    We crowd dodge too. Except the last day, I have to end my trip at MK no matter what the chart says. ;)

    Oct is party season and the MK will host the halloween party several days a week.  That means there will be huge variations in crowds on days it hosts the party and days it doesn't.  Besides, Monday is always one of the MK's busiest days of the week.  

    We went late in Oct in 2012 and we went to the MK on days it hosted the party in order to avoid crowds.   This is the article that convinced me to do so.

    I know when we went, we didn't have problems with crowds.  The average wait for us was 10 minutes and I think the longest we waited was 30 minutes for Dumbo.  However, when we got back to our hotel I would go on disboards.com and I was surprised by the number of people complaining about crowds at the same time we were there.  I know some people will always complain about crowds, but I realized that they were going to MK on a day if didn't host the party and that is why they were running into long waits.   Most people won't go to the MK on a day it closes at 7.  So the days it has regular hours, everyone goes.  This is especially tricky in late Oct because the MK will host the halloween party 4 out of 7 days, meaning there are only three days for many vacationers to visit the MK.

    We are big planners when it comes to Disney in terms of reservations, fast passes, extra magic hours, etc. But we've never even looked at the days and how busy they are supposed to be. On our 2 trips last year -- late july/early August and then again on Thanksgiving weekend, we never waited in a single line (other than toy story for 45 min.). My husband is awesome at navigating the park, getting fast passes for the right times, etc. I would go to MK on Day 1 -- it's almost an unwritten rule!!

    On tips on the best time to go to Disneyland on CA? My husband hates crowds & seems to think we can find a less busy time to go. I think he might be crazy;)
