Weekly goals

Didn't we used to do a thread for goals of the week?

Have anything you want to accomplish this week? For yourself and/or for lo?

  • I have always been a very fit and active person with a fairly decent diet. I have always excercise a 5 or 6 days a week. However, with Valentine's Day and my birthday the last 2 weeks I have consumed a ridiculous amount of junk and sugar and not worked out as much. I just feel gross and I'm sure it's contributing to LO not sleeping as well. My goal for myself is to go back to completely clean eating and cut out the sugar. I bought a wedding dress on Saturday and have a huge outdoor concert weekend in 2 months to motivate me. Plus, I just miss feeling good.

My goal for LO is to have her sleep better at night again. I am hoping that cutting the sugar in my diet will help. She also turns 6 months in Saturday and we wil be giving her solids for the first time so I hope that goes well.
  • Weekly goal is to eat better and workout at least 4 times. I might even go for 5. Also going to sign up for a 10k to keep me on track.

I'm with @hhaber and hoping some change in my diet will help DD sleep better.
  • Our goals this week:
Cook dinner every night with at least two vegetables.
Do one house chore each day.
Go to fabric land to buy some fabric to make curtains.
LO- have more playtime sitting up and introduce two meals a day.

  • My goals: to get at least 3 workouts in, get some pics printed of LO, not eat out for dinner all week & enjoy a crafty night with my girlfriends on Friday without stressing about what I'm pumping.

For LO: eating a solid every day, more sitting up & tummy time...maybe finally rolling over???
  • Not to try and thread jack, but @kwrecks - I was in the same boat as you until 2 days ago. 2 days ago she could all of a sudden sit unassisted and has been sleeping better since. I don't know, but it could be a similar situation for your LO... Not sure if that gives you any hope or not.

My goals: I'm still eating like crap. It has got to stop.

Try and get LO on more of a schedule. It's kind of all over the place.

I'm also going to try and rock LO to sleep instead of nurse. Then maybe someone else can put her to sleep for once.

I'm also going to talk to my doctor about meds for my PPA. I'm so sick of feeling like the world is ending all the time.

  • @Revez I hope that's the case! We've been working at sitting. She just started consistently rolling both ways so maybe she's just trying to learn a bunch of new skills!

Also, creepy Internet hugs and hopes that you can soon start feeling like yourself!

  • @revez ((HUGS)) I hope you start feeling better soon. Fwiw I think you're an awesome mamma...I see your LO all smiles in the fb videos, it's obvious she is a well taken care of and very loved baby. :)

  • @hauntedradio I'm with you on the cleaning. I got a little caught up this weekend, but keeping on top of it is killing me! I'd rather nap and cuddle with LO all.the.time. Which is amazing! but when there are tumbleweeds of dog fur roaming the dining room... I kinda get a bug up my ass.

  • My goal is to work out at least twice this week.  I know I can do it, I just need to make it a priority.  Also to be nicer to DH.  For some reason I am so quick to snap at him and I don't know why.  He has been trying hard to help and I need to show my appreciation  more.

  • To get LO to eat more solids. Also to sleep more. Geez, sleep has been elusive. I also want to get on the cleaning bandwagon..

I've been the same with my DH. I'll catch myself snapping over stupid things...wtf is my problem!? He is helping out & being amazing in general, and I feel like I'm just nagging him about stuff. It's very unlike me :(
  • @LokiLahve All we ever argue about is stupid things! I think my problem is that I am doing so much and while DH is doing stuff its still not all the things I want him to do.

  • I want to stick to my training schedule for my 10 miler in May. I ran for the first time today since being about 10 weeks pregnant. Ran a mile, 9 more to go.

I need to get serious about raising money for the melanoma international foundation in the memory of my dad. He died two years ago from melanoma. We went over our goal last year because I was constantly posting on Facebook for people to join their fundraising race and this year I've been so lazy about, I feel awful. I'm going to try to post once a week.

I wish I wanted to make a goal for chores but I don't.
