Poor DH...

I got my day off to go skiing yesterday, and it was excellent.  But then they shut down the highway for nearly six hours to do avalanche control work.  Suffice it to say that what had been a "we'll be home by 5pm - oh, wait, can we change that to 7pm, just in time for bedtime" turned into me tiptoeing into the house at 12:15am.  I still had a blast, but I feel a tiny bit of sympathy for DH having to do childcare for the entire day (outside of the first hour of the morning).  Only a little bit, though, because I've had to do that plenty of times.

    I mean, it was totally out of your hands.

    Also, avalanche control?  Where were you?
