Just wanted to pop in and say thanks to the gals who encouraged me when I had some doubts a few weeks ago. My LO was born 2/2/14 and I was able to bring her into the world naturally and in the water. It was INCREDIBLY painful and I wanted to give up many times and go to the hospital, but I stuck it out.

So glad I did. Side note, my Hypnobirthing went out the window during pushing. I grunted like an animal. Whatever. Anyway, thanks everyone!

Congrats! I remember thinking after DD was born med-free, okay I understand why women get epidurals, but now enough time has passed that I feel ready to do it again (if the twins cooperate).

I did Hypnobirthing as well and thought it was amazing, but I didn't get the pushing part either! I found I either had to all out push or do nothing, the 'birth breathing' just wasn't for me! All that matters is the baby in your arms at the end I guess! Enjoy your little bundle of joy!
