5k Team Name Suggestions

We're participating in a 5K for DS1's special needs school.  You can either walk, run, or do part of it and stroll so that everyone can participate.

It happens to fall on DS1's 4th birthday.  Any suggestions for a team name?  It will be DS1, DS2, DH, I, my parents and hopefully a few friends.  I'm hoping to make team shirts.
To my boys:  I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew

Re: 5k Team Name Suggestions

  • I would probably do a play on the letter of his name, like Dan's Daring Dinosaurs, Bobby's Brave Beavers, etc...

Wait, do you call him Bear? Am I nuts... I could be nuts. If I'm nuts ignore this.

    "Making Bear tracks"
    "Care for Bear"
    "Will run for Bear"
    "Birthday Bear's Run"
    "Bears Brisk Birthday Run"

If his name/nickname isn't Bear I'm an idiot.
If Hav is not nuts, you could also be the "Care Bears" (looking at Care Bears coloring book as I type this, heheh). The alliteration is also a fun idea. Is there anything he's especially interested in (cars, dinosaurs, a certain animal etc)? You could also base a theme around that.

Sorry for the P&R.  That's what we used to call him, but I don't think we really use that nickname...It's morphed into Goober, which I'm not sure I want to call him Goober in public, LOL.

I like the idea of "Running for DS1"  I've also considering using "Running for the Simon Boys".  DS2 has the same disorder and doesn't walk or talk either.  He's still too young, but will most likely attend the same school when he turns 3.

I like this except his name starts with a vowel and I'm not sure there are a lot of words that I could use for the aliterative effect

But... but you could do "Going for Goober", just joking.

I was thinking of just your DS 1's name since it was his birthday but I like the idea of since you're doing it in honor of both of them using a name that reflects that.
Since I'm making the shirts myself, I could put "I run for School Name" on the front and "I'm extra special, it's my birthday" on the back on his shirt

  • you are making them? you can do the same shirts for everyone then makes his special for his birthday. print on there, 'will run for (birthday) cake.' (you can take out birthday) them put 'Team Last Name' on the back of all of them and 'birthday boy' on his.

Yeah, I'm planning on just making freezer paper stencils and painting on cheap cotton shirts from Michael's.
