My mom swears that she put on weight after she had kids because she was always finishing what they left on their plates so as not to waste food. I'm already finding that I feel guilty about tossing food that DS leaves on his tray, but I don't want to fall into the trap of eating it just so I'm not wasting it. Not that it's all that appetizing - I'm talking smooshed up pieces of grilled cheese, mini pizza, etc.
What do you do with your toddlers' leftover food? Do you eat it, try to re-serve it, or just toss it?
Re: Toddler Leftovers
I toss it, unless it's like a bowl of fruit or something.
Watching toddlers eat makes me want to gag sometimes, I don't want to eat it after the fact besides.
I've gotten much much better at gauging how much she will actually eat lately, so the waste is much more minimal. I can always give her more!

Our dog eats it. My kid barely eats, so my dog eats pretty well. I can't remember the last time the dog actually ate dog food.
