First tooth and a ?

G's first tooth finally popped through this weekend. Yay! No signs or symptoms, so when I felt it in her mouth on Saturday I was shocked. I guess I'm the lucky one that landed with an easy teether!

I will say that since Saturday she's had VERY loose stools. I wouldn't call it diarrhea because it's not constant. She usually poops 2x a day and both of her regular poops have been loose and explosive. I've been erring on the side of caution and offering pedialyte with her meals but she has very wet diapers, no fever taking her bottles and is a happy girl. Also sort of following BRAT diet, but not strictly because, again, it's sort of borderline diarrhea.

I did call the pedi but the nurse I spoke with couldn't give me much direction on the phone and asked if I wanted to come in for an appt with the NP. I declined because it doesn't seem necessary. 

My go to Web.md says this isn't a proven side effect of teething but I don't believe it! What has been your experience? Is this a normal teething symptom? dx: MFI 0% morph & low count. Occasional Anovulatory cycles.

    All 3 of mine have/had intermittent bouts of diarrhea when teething. I know "they" say it's not related, but this mama disagrees!

    I'm jealous of your good teethers ;)

    Molly also gets some explosive loose poops. However @pennylane26, I wouldn't worry and as long as her diapers remain wet like normal I don't think you have to offer the pedialyte or offer BRAT diet...I never change up anything with her and she's always been fine. I suspect she's working on tooth 7 as we speak and she had a serious poopsplosion yesterday!

    DS like clockwork always gets a fever, runny nose and a day or two of diahrea when he is teething so I always know whats up. If anything I would maybe mix some pedialite with water and give her a little if you want. That's pretty much all I would do especially if she isn't in pain or anything.

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    Pretty much what others have said. M gets loose poop on/off when he gets a new tooth.

    My boys only get diarrhea from molars, but they also get runny noses and drool from those darn teeth and not the others. I think the runny noses upset their tummies. The worst part is the diaper rash that can follow- so that's the only real thing to watch out for.

    I hope LO continues to be a great teether. My boys seem to be very tooh dependent, so some are a breeze and some are awful!
